This really summed up a not so great week/theme for the show - one you suspect was dumped upon it rather than them actually having concepts to be able to do something useful with it.
As for the result itself (when it eventually came) I think Jade had both done a good job, and equally had run her race. She had done some memorable routines, and formed a good partnership with Karen. I don't think she could have done more than that.
With a weak musical guest performance too it capped off a mediocre night/week. If you hadn't clocked the earlier start time I don't think you'd have missed much.
