“Infection Is Coming…”
Here in the UK, when it comes to zombie and infection films, we are mostly treated to comedic entries such as Shaun of the Dead, Doghouse and Cockneys vs Zombies. Don’t get me wrong, the films mentioned have their own merits, but am I the only one who is sick of films of the like going in that direction? Of course, films like 28 Days Later and Doomsday brought something new to the table and replaced cheap gags with genuine tension and atmosphere. It’s been a long time since I have seen a great example of the genre like that here in good old, bloody Blighty. When I first caught wind of the latest offering of its kind...

Opening with a fantastic animated title sequence which explains the basic plot – soldiers return home from war infected with zombie-like symptoms which quickly spreads through out the populace – Zombie Resurrection is a brand-new, very British, take on the cliched zombie apocalypse tale. This time with one major change… One of the zombies in this movie displays Jesus-like powers! Yes, when he touches other zombies they are miraculously returned to life. Is this zombie “saviour” the cure for the undead plague, or is he heralding the end of the world?
From the offset Zombie Resurrection lays it cards on the table – this is Not a film to be taken seriously; even if there are a number of scary scenes that rival those...

A resurrection of the zombie-kind is happening in the UK this Easter, with Left Films’ announcing its DVD and Bluray release of Andy Phelps and Jake Hawkins’ horror film on 23rd March 2015.
Zombie Resurrection is set a year after the apocalypse, when a rag-tag group of survivors take refuge in an old school. As the undead inevitably invade the makeshift base, the humans witness an unholy miracle: one of the zombies has Jesus-like powers, this rotting Messiah’s touch brings other members of the undead back to life. Is this the Second Coming to save mankind, or a freak virus mutation that will plunge the remaining humans into a new hell? Expect plenty of gore and outrageous zombie whacking, in this action-packed undead showdown..
