James Gunn’s DC Studios has just green-lit a Teen Titans movie and fans are not exactly sure how to make up their mind. On one hand, the prospect of a film featuring characters from the earlier animated TV show is exciting for some fans. However, on the other, many DC fans worry that Gunn is repeating the same old mistakes committed by Zack Snyder’s Dceu. Fans criticized DC’s move to announce new projects, while the already announced slate awaits development updates.

According to Gunn, Creature Commandos and Waller, the first two projects from Dcu, will hit streamers this year. The first theatrical project will be James Gunn’s Superman, but Dcu’s Batman film has yet to cast its lead characters.

10. Black Lightning.

What can I say about Black Lightning except for the fake Afro wig (decades before Steve Harvey’s Btw… wait… y’all didn’t know that was a wig? Oops, sorry Steve, my bad) but like I was saying-except for the wig I loved this character the moment I saw him. Yeah, there were some stereotypical thing to him like his real first name, Jefferson but his last name was Pierce and Jefferson Pierce sounded so cool I can give Jefferson a pass.
9. Spawn.

Little know story: when I was the CEO of Motown Animation & Filmworks I started a comic book imprint called Machineworks. We were all set to do a publishing deal with Marvel Comics which would have given Marvel its very own Milestone like imprint.

Cartoon Network has ordered a second season of Teen Titans Go!. That makes me happy since Tara Strong’s annoyed line delivery as Raven is easily one of the funniest things on TV.
I do love how the New Teen Titans are becoming so iconic.
ABC Family has found a host for its spelling competition Spell-Mageddon, picking Silver Spoons and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Alfonso Ribeiro.
Remember that hot guy Louie Ck hung out with (and kinda seemed to fall in love with) in that episode of Louie? FX has found a new role for him. Deadline reports that Miguel Gomez has joined the pilot The Strain, a vampire drama pilot from Guillermo del Toto and… er, Carlton Cuse.
That was one unforgettable Louie episode.
Vikings added two for its second season with Linus Roache and Alexander Ludwig joining the cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Ludwig will...

So, ComicMix readers, as per my previous column, Awesome Con DC happened April 20 and 21…and, I say this unironically, it was awesome. I had a blast. I spent time with good friends; I met new friends; I walked the con floor and met comics legends (great chat, Larry Hama!) and witty and charming award-winning artists (hello, Ben Templesmith!); and was delighted with the strong turnout of talented local comics folks. I went to a couple of panels (amazing, for me, since I usually plan to go to tons and then don’t go to…any); and wore my Girl Jayne Firefly costume. And yes, naturally, I bought some stuff (surprise!). I also pretended to be Nick Galifianakis for awhile (don’t tell!) and did three fantaaaastic interviews: with Nick, and with the amazingly talented Phil Lamarr and Billy West. (More convention pictures here, and oh by the way, next year...

Don’t let the name fool you. Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes isn’t a mere sequel to the hot selling Lego Batman game, nor is it a movie tie-in to The Dark Knight Rises.
However, it is one of the most ambitious Lego games to date, save for the upcoming Lego City: Undercover for Wii U. For starters, this playful adventure is fully voiced by a rich roster of industry vets, such as: New Teen Titans’ Tara Strong (as Harley Quinn), Stargate Sg-1’s Claudia Black (as Cheetah), The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ Steve Blum (as The Joker/Batman), Green Lantern: The Animated Series’ Clancy Brown (as Lex Luthor), BioShock Infinite’s Troy Baker (as Two-Face), Young Justice’s Phil Lamarr (rumored as Aquaman/Green Lantern), SpongeBob’s Tom Kenny, Thundercats’ Kevin Michael Richardson (rumored as Kilowog) and Futurama’s John Di Maggio.
If that laundry list...
