Pleasant Entertainment for Hockey Families

Warning: Spoilers
In these times of more and more destruction and mayhem at the theatres, this movies comes as a pleasant surprise. The movie describes the struggle of a boy to integrate into a hockey team. It is not the unforgettable experience of a life time, but it never pretends to be. This is just a very insightful glimpse into the lives of hockey parents with the good and bad that comes with it. It is fun to watch for parents and kids alike, as each get their set of characters to identify with. The movie does not dwell on overly emotional story elements and just offers a believable story on characters we soon get to identify with.

As for more details on the story (spoilers), the movie is centered on a very gifted peewee hockey player who has just lost his mother. Father and son move to a new town, where a girl goalie soon befriends the boy. When she manages to convince him to play for her team, the Lynx, he has to prove himself and integrate himself into a group of diverse kids that have so far been dominated by the local best player. He will need all the help he can get from his father who has always been detached from his son and who now needs to form new bonds with his son.
