We are closer together....

Alison tells the Ghosts off in stern fashion, berating their behaviour, they chose to work together, to find a way of appeasing her.

For me, this was back to what the show does best, Alison bantering with the ghosts, no special guests, no externals, just banter. I thought this was by far and away the best episode from the fourth series so far.

Julian's fingering and Fanny's lip, I actually belly laughed, the double entendres were back, and all landed really well. I thought this was a classic episode, very funny.

Julian well and truly at his best, I loved his political reminiscences, he pretty much took the lead here for a change. Loved Mary here too, Wix's monologues were really great. How nice also to hear that beautiful voice of Lolly Adefope.

Sweet and funny, it was a classic, 9/10.

The apology had me crying with laughter

Warning: Spoilers
I've enjoyed this show from day one, but I think it has gone from strength to strength.

The episode opens with Alison telling the ghosts off - we are not told what exactly for, although their subsequent discussions give us some insight into what has upset her (Alison finally tells them all what is is at the end of the episode). Deciding that she is overworked, Mike decides to give Alison a wonderful day off, but typically nothing works out as planned.

Meanwhile the ghosts decide to apologize to Alison in a song and the scene where they perform it for her had me crying with laughter. One of my favorite episodes yet!

Episode 403

Warning: Spoilers
Definitely one of the most "sitcom-y" episodes of Ghosts in awhile with a catchphrase of "that's the most I've been told off" repeated multiple times by different characters tonight.

It was not a perfect episode by any means, but this was definitely good harmless fun for the program.

Ghosts has built such great chemistry among the ghosts and humans that it is easy to find 30 minutes of content to fill an episode. The challenge is presenting in giving us something that we haven't seen before and something really fresh for the living or the dead. I don't think we got that here.

Enough laughs to put a smile on your face though.

The Hardest Word
Prismark1024 September 2023
Sorry is the hardest word. The Ghosts are upset as this is the most they have been told off by Alison.

At least Mike attempts to make it up to her by making the guest house into a spa evening after a last minute cancellation.

Although the question is what did the Ghosts do to upset Alison? How will the Ghosts make amends to calm her down?

Well Pat Butcher expiring at an era before Band Aid released a charitable single gives them an idea. They will all attempt to sing to Alison, now they just need the lyrics.

It really was a musical episode, not because of the singing. The wordplay about different singers and songwriters. I did like how Pat felt out of the loop as he never knew about Band Aid.

Julian Fawcett's escapades with his various sex scandals were also amusing. This time leaving some confidential documents with the wrong person.
