How to make a show that just sets up one moment
OnlyAtJMart26 January 2023
A lot of shows tell a story that is fully realized when the season/series is over. Great ones make the journey to the end exciting and enjoyable along the way. Not Your Honor. The show is full of a bunch of "that's going to be important later" moments, and not much else. It's like watching a bunch of puzzle pieces wander around, until they end up where they are supposed to go. This show is a lot of "wait and see" nonsense. It feels empty because the story is something that could be resolved in an hour or two, but they stretch it out, and pretend it's suspenseful. Pretty much what I have seen so far in the 2nd season is people walking around staring at others, and low energy monotone dialogue. I love Bryan Cranston, but this is not a project that showcases his talents.

Part Twelve
bobcobb30130 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Your Honor still remains interesting, twelve episodes (or parts) in, but it also feels like they are purposely dragging us along on a ride that is not going to get a clear payoff. We get a few chuckles along the way, there's the same writing that we saw on The Good Wife/Fight that leads the door to laughs, but the quality of this drama is not even close to that.

While it keeps you awake for the whole long hour run time, we need a little bit more action or at least a few more scenes of substance. This is simply not enough to go on for an entire episode considering the weekly release schedule for the show.

Less intriguing

Warning: Spoilers
Michael is out of prison now although he has to dance to Olivia's tune which is at times restrictively annoying, as I am expecting a lot more from Michael in upcoming episodes. Lately he is connecting with Fia for the obvious reason that she was Adams girlfriend. Meanwhile the mayor Charles is being asked of a little favour from Desire. Elisabeth manages to shelter Michael on his return to New Orleans.

Definitely a slower paced episode with a secret revealed to Michael on the climax. I'd say this is one of the weakest episodes so far. To make matters worse the Baxters are having little interaction with their daughter furthering the hostility between Jimmy and Michael.

Well shot, although the score wasn't overly prominent on this episode and it felt way less dramatic and more soap opera.

Not bad a slow episode as if season 1 came back.

Warning: Spoilers
I found this episode to be painfully slow with some sparks of excitement in various scenes. I am not certain I will reach the threshold of 500-600 characters require to write a review. The episode was really slow and I love slow burns... but I will say the stuff with Big Mo is exciting and the actress is great. I will say Hope Davis is not only a great actress but she is a beauty. Her performance has been very very good this. As has Michael Stuhlbarg and Isiah Whitlock Jr. The cast is perfect and it's sometimes the writing that lets them down. I already seen ep 13 AND it's good. So Your Honor continue to be a good slow burn series.

And Isaiah and I get that it's setting things up but th.
