- Self - Special Forces: [Billy] The backward dive is designed to test your element of fear. Someone with weak character will not make it as an operator. They will fail. When you're stood on the skid your arms will go across your chest, your head and eyes will face forward. Stay in control and you'll naturally just fall backwards. You pass the task by doing exactly as you're told, entering the water headfirst, and nice and straight. You fail it by panicking, turning into a jellyfish and it'll feel like you fell onto concrete, it will hurt
- Self - Special Forces: [Billy] The reason for doing this, tactical questioning, is to get to know every weakness, every skeleton in the cupboard.
- Self - Special Forces: [Billy] Operating in the desert, it's very unforgiving. There's no shade, there's no water. Heat exhaustion is a real threat. I've seen colleagues actually collapse. It doesn't matter how big or fit you think you are, if you don't take a good water discipline, you will suffer and most likely you'll die.

- Self - Special Forces: [Foxy] In Afghanistan, I've been in helicopter crashes, so we have to be prepared for the worst-case scenario, which is ditching into the sea, and we need to know that we can survive. - Self - Special Forces: [Billy] Stop beating yourself up. No one's judging you, only you. Let's get rid of the past, and let's go forward
- Self - Special Forces: [Rudy Reyes] We have a saying in the special operations community: Attrition is the mission. The reason why the selection course is so tough is to blowtorch away anyone that does not wanna be there.
- Self - Special Forces: [Billy] When I turned up, there was 283 of us that started. In the end, there was only seven of us that remained. We would like to see every single person succeed. That's never gonna happen.
- Self - Special Forces: [Foxy] Ultimately, when the bullets are zipping past your head, do you trust that person to fight for your life
- Self - Special Forces: [Billy] So you just had a flashback to that awful situation that's happened in the past. But you know what? It's the past. I think that's probably a good reason for you to be here, to face your demons and fight through it
- Self - Special Forces: [Billy] When you're in a conflict, you need somebody as as close to you as two coats of paint. That's the reason we live the way we do.
