The film starts in the out ports of Newfoundland. Around the bay. This is a story about two young boys who set out into the wilderness by traveling across Newfoundland to find themselves. Knocked down by the pressures of trying to fit in living in the city with their aunt, due to one of the boy's parents both being deceased, they look to the wilderness of Newfoundland to discover things about themselves that ultimately bring them closer together. They set out on a mission to find a magical coastal place that was once a promise by his father. A heartwarming story, of heartbreak, culture, fearlessness, friendship, determination, and most of all, adventure.
Never before have I witnessed in a film, the splendor and beauty of such a beautiful province. Places I would love to see for my own eyes, but yet they seem so far out of reach.
