- Shinigami's human form has slightly revealing clothing.
- There is a fanservice minigame (Hangman's Gambit) that involves one of the main characters (Shinigami) in a beach outfit being stuck in a barrel and makes slightly suggestive poses once you get the words right.

- One of the characters (Vivia Twilight) in the game is clearly implied to be suicidal, with is his catchphrase throughout the whole game being that he "wants to die someday", but doesn't actually end up killing himself.

- Yomi Hellsmile and the nun swear, but only when enraged. Shinigami swears in a few lines as a joke.
- Shinigami is prone to making lustful remarks, of which describe in detail her morbid attraction to death and her deep sexual deviations. She is the only character to provide such deviance in quite a blatant manner, the other characters coming nowhere near as vulgar as she is.

- Swank Catsonell, Yakou Furio, and the worshipper at Kanai Ward's church are always seen with a cigarette.
- Alcoholic beverages such as wine are often seen in some parts of the game.

- Since it is a Dangaronpa type game, but the artstyle is exploited, where the human's blood is clearly red, while the cloned homunculi's are pink. But the deaths are still pretty gruesome.
- An evil character attempt to brutally kick a dying person to death out of spite.
- An ally of Yuma goes as far as attempting to stab him to death just so spare him from solving a murder.
- Yakou Furio is brutally stabbed to death by an assassin, and his death scene is drawn out.
- The Nail Man victims that the protagonist investigates alongside Halara Nightmare are shown nailed down to the ground by large nails. These scenes are depicted very graphically.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
- The culprit of the first murder case spikes detectives with a sleeping drug in order to kill them. The protagonist is a victim of this, and ends up falling unconscious.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- In the final chapter, the main antagonist is highly confrontational towards the protagonist. Namely, he forces the protagonist to undergo the psychological trauma of the homunculi within Kanai Ward's restricted area, threatens the protagonist with a gun, and while in the Mystery Labyrinth, relentlessly attacks him with a sword.
- When Shinigami reaps a culprit's soul, when returning to the real world, their bodies are shown dropping to the ground lifelessly. This is not an occurrence in every case, as the result is usually shown afterward instead of before the player.
- The game's overall main antagonists are revealed to be incredibly scheming, ruthless individuals who mostly see people as pawns to use than individuals to care about, which can incite feelings of paranoia.
