Now wait a minute. This week's episode was recorded a few weeks ago, so we're coming to you from the time machine. (Bryan) was still hungover from the double debauchery of his birthday and the Social Club Kiki (leaky tops!), but if we know anything (and we do, pardon me), it's that this week's guest is worth the wait. Joining us in The Carriage House is none other than writer, actor, and comedian Peter Grosz. You know him from literally a million things, whether it's his classic commercials for Sonic, his work on VEEP and THE PRESIDENT SHOW, or his Emmy winning stint as a writer for THE COLBERT REPORT. You can also catch Peter in his monthly New York show WE FIXED IT at Caveat on the Lower East Side. This month's show is on September 9th. Peter joins us to give advice on making a high flying career change, dealing with a recluse neighbor, and a work crush that's going nowhere.

Now wait a minute. (Bryan) may be looking like the Virgin Mary, which reminds Ronna of her trip to Florence with Mr. Cleveland, but have we got a great guest this week or what? We're joined in The Carriage House by none other than actor, writer, and comedian Anthony Atamanuik. You know him as the orange one himself on THE PRESIDENT SHOW and his work on WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS. He's also the co-host of a podcast called THE PHONEY AND CALL-Y SHOW with his good friend John Gemberling. Listen to it wherever you get your podcasts. Anthony joins us to give advice on a major work snafu, and two tricky neighbor situations, one involving smoked meat and the other involving a potentially parasitic personality.

Now wait a minute. (Bryan) may have caught Ronna slinking through the streets of Marblehead like the luxurious jaguar that she is, but there's no time to wonder why (Bryan) was stalking her because we have GOT to get to this week's guest. Joining us in The Carriage House is internationally acclaimed author, poet, comedian, and public speaker ALOK. They help us give advice on finding platonic friendships in the gay community, and a couple of family issues, one involving a rift with a grandmother and the other dealing with family who still talk trash about your ex. This episode is so good it'll knock you over like a one-two punch from a kangaroo.

This week we find (Bryan) in an absolutely wonderful mood (as is Ronna, of course), and, with a guest as delightful as this, there's really no doubt why, excuse me. Joining us in The Carriage House is actor, comedian, writer, and podcast host Andy Daly. You know him from only about a million things, like the brilliant show REVIEW (now on Paramount Plus), EASTBOUND and DOWN, SILICON VALLEY, and much more. Andy helps us give advice on dealing with religious differences in a serious relationship, a rather serious request from an old high school acquaintance, and some tips on self-care.

Now wait a minute. We love this week's guest so much we could talk to him for hours and hours. Joining us in The Carriage House for his SECOND appearance, pardon me, is none other than star baker and our dear, dear friend Edd Kimber. Of course you know Edd as the winner of the first season of THE GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF, but he's also got a new book out this week called SMALL BATCH BAKES. It's already an instant bestseller in the UK, and we have the opportunity to make it a bestseller here in the US. Buy it today!. Edd-d-d-d joins us to give advice on a marriage dominated by a hygiene problem and a midwife who doesn't want to mix business and pleasure.
Tue, Oct 11, 2022
This week's guest has got the stuff, pardon me; a real thinker, no two ways about it. We are beyond thrilled to welcome to The Carriage House our dear friend, playwright, and podcast host Liza Powel O'Brien. Her fabulous podcast, SIGNIFICANT OTHERS, is available wherever you get your podcasts, and if you're not listening to it, we don't know what to tell you. Where else can you learn about Mary Todd Lincoln's shopping addiction? Liza joins us to give advice to a motley crew of letter writers. First it's a battle royale between sisters-in-law married to twins, then we hear from a book club that's been hijacked by a baby, and finally we give advice to someone outraged that their friend has stopped giving money to NPR and has, instead, started supporting shows on (gasp!) Patreon.
Tue, Oct 18, 2022
With the way Ronna (& Bryan) start this episode, you'd think we're on Patreon, but no. It's just time for a good old fashioned Carriage House Catch-Up. (Bryan)'s in need of a rejuvenating vajazzle after a night of double tequila shots and hot dogs, but that won't stop Ronna and him from dishing out their always fabulous advice. First they give their two cents on being romantic as a 29 year old with dentures. Then it's on to some advice about a "DTR" conversation, and finally they share their thoughts on an issue involving remote work and...camping?
Tue, Oct 25, 2022
Now wait a minute. Ronna might be in a mood, and (Bryan) may or may not be the recipient of fox eye surgery, but it really doesn't matter because of the caliber of guest we've got in The Carriage House this week, excuse me. We're so pleased to welcome writer and former executive editor at TEEN VOGUE Samhita Mukhopadhyay. She's the author of OUTDATED: WHY DATING IS RUINING YOUR LOVE LIFE and co-editor of the anthology NASTY WOMEN: FEMINISM, RESISTANCE, AND REVOLUTION IN TRUMP'S AMERICA. Look for her new book THE MYTH OF MAKING IT, coming out soon. Samhita joins us to give advice on dealing with a coworker's need to hang out outside of work and making a decision on whether to have kids. It's a highbrow affair this week with absolutely no scuzz, excuse me.
Tue, Nov 1, 2022
It's already November 1st, can you believe it? We can't. But we're celebrating this All Saints' Day with a Carriage House Catch-Up chock full of follow-ups. From the remote-working camper to the dentures wearer and more, we've got a LOT to talk about (and no, not all of it is grundle related, excuse me). Then we give some advice on keeping up with a spouse in the bedroom and dealing with a long and rocky history between a father and his sister.
Tue, Nov 8, 2022
Now wait a minute. Today's Election Day, so you better get out and VOTE. In addition, have we got a show for you this week or what? We're starting at fever pitch. First off, we chat with our AR Social Club AMA winner from back in September, Nadia Salim, who's getting married next year and wants to pick Ronna's (& Bryan's) brains about the wedding (we're coming to you from the time machine, hence the references to Halloween). Then we're beyond thrilled to welcome legendary comedian, writer, and activist Lizz Winstead to The Carriage House. Of course you know her as co-creator of a little program called THE DAILY SHOW, but you can also catch her podcast FEMINIST BUZZKILLS LIVE. wherever you get your podcasts. And if you find yourself in the Twin Cities this New Year's Eve, go see her show BAD MEN AND SOME CRAPPY WOMEN at the Parkway Theater. Lizz helps us give advice on being married to someone with very different politics and a very unique living situation with an ex-spouse.
Tue, Nov 15, 2022
Now wait a minute. Ronna may still have her Halloween nails, and (Bryan)'s can barely see straight from the sugar hangover he's suffering from, but none of this takes away from the absolutely STELLAR guest we have this week, pardon me. Joining us in The Carriage House is none other than actor, comedian, writer, and mother of all podcasts June Diane Raphael. If you're not listening to June Diane's podcasts THE DEEP DIVE with Jessica St. Clair and HOW DID THIS GET MADE? with Jason Mantzoukas and her husband Paul Scheer then you're truly missing out on life. And be sure to catch her on PICKLED, a celebrity pickleball tournament hosted by Stephen Colbert on Paramount Plus. June Diane joins us to give advice on dealing with a dear friend's very precocious 11 year old daughter as well as how to control the impulse to overindulge on snacks.

Ho ho ho. No, we're not referring to three (Bryan)s. It's the episode you've been waiting for all year: Ronnukah is finally here. And we've got a TON in store for you this holiday season. In addition to our usual gift suggestions for all price points (this episode covers gifts $250 and beyond...for those who want to splurge), we've got some VERY exciting Ask Ronna gift sets that couldn't be more chic if they tried, pardon me. And they're all available in one easy place: ronnukah.com We've got gift sets featuring the most transformative hot chocolate Ronna's ever had, plenty of boozy holiday treats, a personalized tumbler from favorite Carriage House brand Kinto, Ronna's spin on Glühwein (with mulling spices from Rare Tea Cellar, pardon me), and more. All make incredible gifts, and all are available at ronnukah.com.
Tue, Nov 29, 2022
Now wait a minute. If you thought Ronnukah was our last hurrah of the year, you've got another think coming, excuse me. We couldn't be happier to welcome a living legend into The Carriage House this week as we're joined by the delightful and hilarious Patton Oswalt. Of course you know Patton as one of the most gifted comedians working today (his new Netflix special WE ALL SCREAM is streaming now). And if you needed a reminder, his acting resume is a mile long, from THE KING OF QUEENS to RATATOUILLE (a Ronna favorite) to his most recent award-winning film I LOVE MY DAD. Patton helps us give advice on some major brother-in-law drama, talking about an untraditional relationship with friends, and throwing a party in a co-op.
Tue, Dec 6, 2022
Now wait a minute. The holidays are fast approaching, and soon enough we'll be straddling Christmas and New Year, much to (Bryan)'s delight. But have we got a treat for you this week or what? Joining us in The Carriage House is our new friend and comedian extraordinaire Chris Estrada. You can catch Chris on his acclaimed Hulu series THIS FOOL, which was just renewed for a second season, pardon me. He's an utter delight. Chris joins us to give advice on a smelly carpool mess, a professional name dilemma, and a circle of gift-giving friends caught in a Triangle of Sadness. As our new throw pillows say, "you must laff!"
Tue, Dec 13, 2022
Now wait a minute. Have we got an incredible guest this week or what? He's a real dazzler, a sunflower in a place full of weeds, and Ronna wants to pinch his cheeks this instant. Joining in The Carriage House is actor and comedian Jeff Hiller. You know Jeff from literally a million things, but you can see him now on SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE on HBO Max and AMERICAN HORROR STORY: NYC on Hulu. Jeff helps us give advice on a burning karaoke jealousy (an INSTANT classic Ask Ronna letter), how to embrace changes in a friendship over time, and tips on checking grumpy behavior at 31.
Tue, Dec 20, 2022
We did it. It's our 150th Episode, if you can believe it. We can't tell you how grateful we are to still be a part of your lives after all this time, and we'll be here for 150 more episodes...or until (Bryan) breaks out of The Carriage House like the Kool-Aid Man. After some quick follow-ups, including one from over 2 years ago, pardon me, we give advice on avoiding making comparisons to others when you're a new mother, how to deal with a neighbor who's probably a grifter, and navigating living with an ex 10 years after the break-up. It's a fabulous way to end the season.
Tue, Jan 17, 2023
We're back. It's a new year and a new season here in The Carriage House, and we're raring (roaring?) to go. And, really, could we have asked for a more fun guest to start the year, excuse me? Joining us this week is the co-host of one of our favorite podcasts, BITCH SESH. It's Danielle Schneider. After some Real Housewives chat (obviously), Danielle helps us give advice on a long distance relationship and a possible pity invitation to be in a bridal party. Plus, in a Carriage House first, pardon me, our guest Danielle asks us for some advice herself. Clearly the universe has nothing against us in 2023.
Tue, Jan 24, 2023
Now wait a minute. It's not everyday we have a national treasure in The Carriage House, but you better believe we do this week, pardon me. After a quick style guide addendum from Naomi Ekperigin (which you better commit it to memory, honey), we're joined by none other than author, actor, and all around fabulous man John Hodgman. You can catch John on tour beginning this weekend, excuse me, with a live version of his hit podcast JUDGE JOHN HODGMAN. Can't see him on tour? Then listen to the pod wherever you get your podcasts. This week we've got a follow-up letter for the ages, so prepare yourselves as John helps us give advice to Kid Hater in Kansas. That's right...BROOKE IS BACK, and this letter is OUT. OF. CONTROL. Throw in another letter about uninvited guests to a wedding and you've got yourself a classic Ask Ronna episode. The Ask Ronna Lonely Hearts Live Show is coming up on Sunday 2/12. Fun, games, prizes, surprises, and more. Go to askronnalive.com for tickets and some of the fabulous gift boxes we created, including our official Lonely Hearts cocktail.
