Albert starts to have serious health issues, not that anybody cares, but he's concerned about his uncomfortable situation with Carrel, while Adrien is just concerned about ending the book.
The Carrel plot is still the weakest link. I find it unbelievable that a police officer - albeit a disgraced one - can disappear without anybody in the force taking any notice. It's just too weird, even for France, where we're told the police is none too efficient.
However, in this episode we get some answers as to how Albert got to know Nastya and no, it's not a nice way as anybody could have imagined. Even tough-boiled Adrien is upset.
Then, Adrien gets another mighty metaphorical punch, hitting him at a more personal level and decides to take action to end the book once and for all.
Fast forward one year, Nora and Adrien are enjoying their holidays in Corsica, Adrien's book is published and very successful, obviously titled "Les papillons noirs", Albert is disposed of, and still nobody thought about investigating Carrel's disappearance. Weakest point ever, but everything else works fine.
