WWE has a long standing tradition of not shaking things up too much right before Wrestlemania. With Smackdowns pay-per-view Elimination Chamber done two weeks ago the biggest change in that show was Cena losing the title to Bray Wyatt. Raw's final exclusive pay-per-view played out like everyone thought it would with only one title changing hands. When Stephanie McMahon and Triple H don't bother to show up on camera and leave Mick Foley in charge it shows that even the head brass didn't want to shake things up. Now for the next 29 days everything will be set for Wrestlemania with only a couple questions still to address.

Another Valentine’s Day is over for another year and what better way to celebrate the holiday than by talking about professional wrestling. WWE SmackDown Live! is over for another week. Coming out of the Elimination Chamber Pay Per View, how did the Blue Brand of the WWE stack up this week?
I enjoyed the match between Becky Lynch and Mickie James. This was the match these two should have had on the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View. The match these two had just two days later had more impact because one, the action in the ring was solid from bell to bell and two, the right person ended up winning the match. In order for people to take Mickie James seriously for her return, she has to get some wins over credible opponents. This match against Becky Lynch was great to showcase Mickie being a ruthless villain. If they are going...

Portland, Oregon is a city rich in history when it comes to professional wrestling. Starting with the territory owned by Don Owens, it saw the rise of performers like Billy Jack Haynes, Jimmy Snuka, and the legendary “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. Today, the big dog in town of course is the WWE. Tonight at the Moda Center, the WWE held Monday Night Raw and I had the pleasure of attending the show live.
WWE Camera Crew at work
This was not the first Monday Night Raw I’ve ever attended. That distinction belongs to the episode that played on August 27th, 2001 at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Time flies when you’re having fun and to think that close to sixteen years have passed since I last attended an episode of Raw blows my mind. (I did attend the WWE Pay per View The Bash in 2009 at Arco Arena in Sacramento,...

January 24th, 1988 was a great day in wrestling history. On that date, live on the USA Network, the WWE held their first ever Royal Rumble. In classic Vince McMahon fashion, holding this event for free on cable was a way to keep folks from ordering the Bunkhouse Stampede pay per view Jim Crockett Promotions put out that same day. The Royal Rumble match itself was revolutionary. Starting with two performers in the ring, at regularly timed intervals, another performer would come out until, in the case of the 1988 Royal Rumble, all twenty participants were in the ring. The winner of that first Rumble was Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
Fast forward 29 years and here we are at the 30th Royal Rumble. Unlike the Rumble’s that have occurred the past five years, the WWE has done an amazing job of promoting this event. They have some great matches in store as well...

Smackdown Live! is in the books for the week. The Blue Brand of the WWE is building up towards the Royal Rumble with their brand specific storylines. We saw the first WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship Cage Match as well as a special edition of The King’s Court with Jerry The King Lawler. How did the show hold up this week?
The show opened with the announcement from Shane McMahon that at the next Smackdown specific Pay Per View event Elimination Chamber, the WWE Championship will be defended by whomever the WWE Champion is at that point. A simple announcement but something the WWE has not been doing consistently as of late, promoting their events properly. We saw Aj Styles come out and complain that he would have to defend his title in the Chamber match with Shane reminding him that he may not have the title after his...

It was with a heavy heart that Daniel Bryan announced his retirement from the ring on Feb 8th, explaining that night on WWE Raw that concussion-related issues forced him to step away from the squared circle. Fans were inevitably then quick to celebrate the career he had in WWE and in other organizations, acknowledging his most monumental matches and moments.
As one of the world’s greatest wrestlers for over a decade, Bryan was known for being nearly incapable of contesting a bad match. Even when in the ring with someone that wasn’t as experienced such as Roman Reigns or The Miz, he still managed to have an above-average outing. That will be only a small part of the legacy he leaves behind in wrestling.

When World Wrestling Entertainment revealed that the new name for their February pay-per-view would be Fastlane in 2015, a fair few fans were left scratching their heads. Gone was the lengthy association between that month and the Elimination Chamber bouts, and No Way Out was an even more distant memory. Instead, WWE focused on the literal, citing Fastlane as part of the ‘Road To WrestleMania’.
This year, the main event saw a Triple Threat encounter which promised to solidify who would face Triple H at the promotion’s biggest annual showcase. Dean Ambrose, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns were the combatants, and it would end up being the latter who scored the match-winning pinfall. Before the event, many people could see this coming, as much as some hated to admit it.

Can you believe it’s been just over a year since Kevin Owens made his WWE debut as part of Nxt?
On December 11th 2014, Owens’ first assignment was the Nxt: TakeOver: R Evolution live special, where he put in an impressive display against Cj Parker in the opening bout before brutally assaulting newly crowned Nxt Champion Sami Zayn to close the show.
Owens had well and truly arrived, and so impressive was his Nxt work during his first few months that by the following May he’d been fast-tracked up to the main roster, where he’d go on to beat John Cena Clean in his full-WWE debut bout at the Elimination Chamber WWE Network special.
While he’s mainly been shuffling around the midcard since that point – another victim of WWE’s counter-productive 50-50 booking strategy – he’s still getting fantastic crowd reactions and really winning...

For 20 years, sandwiched between the two biggest Pay Per Views of the year, Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania, stands the February Pay Per View. From 2000 until 2009 (plus 1998), it was called No Way Out. From 2010 until 2014, it was called the Elimination Chamber. Last year and this year, it’s now called Fastlane.
The February Pay Per View is a lot more interesting than the September Pay Per View because the writing team is still in its creative peak as they build the Road to Wrestlemania. Stakes are pretty high for a non-big four Pay Per View. A major theme involves the Royal Rumble winner putting his Wrestlemania title shot on the line, which happened at the 1996, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2006, and 2015 editions of the February Pay Per View (the Rumble winner was actually going for the championship at the 1997 and 2008 editions). Interestingly enough, only Shawn Michaels in 1996 and Roman Reigns in 2015 successfully defended their title shots,...

This is gonna be short and sweet, folks. What I'm writing tonight is primarily just an introduction for this new weekly column, which will have a limited run every Wednesday night on Latino-Review throughout the Road To Wrestlemania. This means it shall conclude on Wednesday, April 6, three days after Wrestlemania 32.
So, what can you expect? Let's start with an overview of my history as wrestling fan, so you can better understand the filter through which I view the product these days.

Age 13-19 (1996 - 2002) = Obsessive Super Fan
Age 20-22 (2003 - 2005) = Fan
Age 23-27 (2006 - 2010) = Casual Fan Who Pops Up For Big Moments

The more cynical reader might perhaps look at the title of this DVD and say ‘Best PPV matches in 2015, really?’ and while, yes, WWE had a rather inconsistent year both creatively and between-the-ropes, it only takes one look at the match listing to realise that WWE presented some truly sensational contests on their biggest shows.
Don’t believe me? The first match on the very first disc is the superlative Match of the Year contender between John Cena, Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar from the 2015 Royal Rumble. That is the first match you’re treated to with this set, and the hits just keep on coming from there.
Who wouldn’t want to revisit Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar’s surprisingly epic and enthralling WrestleMania main event, or the Beast’s two blockbusting matches with The Undertaker, including their Hell in a Cell classic. John Cena and Kevin Owens...

As important as talent is to the career of any pro wrestler, perception trumps it – any performer on WWE’s roster is ultimately beholden to how the fans and the office views him, and shaking off a first impression can be difficult, if not outright impossible. In recent years, men like Dolph Ziggler and Zack Ryder have been held back from the top by skeptical decision-makers, while Roman Reigns, deserving of success or not, has been hamstrung by an audience that doesn’t take him seriously as a hero.
Changing Vince McMahon’s opinion may be impossible, but the fans can be swayed – many wrestlers have earned the respect of the WWE Universe with hard work and gimmick changes. It’s usually not an immediate process, but some wrestlers – like The New Day or even John Cena, early in his career – have won...

2005 was a great year for WWE, with the company creating a bunch of new stars and really delivering consistently when it came to PPV. 2006 was very different from 2005. Fewer stars were made, although the ones that did break through (such as Edge) managed to cement themselves at the top of the card.
The two major storylines from 2006 were Dx’s long dispute with the McMahons and their associates and the return of Ecw as a fully-fledged brand. Speaking of returns, the ultra popular Jeff Hardy came home to WWE after two years in Tna. Ostensibly over his drug issues, Jeff was given a big push on Raw.
While there were returns, there were also departures. Trish Stratus and Lita, two of the most influential female performers of all-time, left the company within two months of each other. The way they were written out of the storylines was markedly different,...

2015 is drawing to a close, and it’s certainly been a notable year for WWE. The company has seen some of the most exciting and some of the most frustrating moments in its entire history happen this year – and sometimes in the same show, in the case of the Royal Rumble. Still, as autumn sets in, WWE is in a pretty good place – Seth Rollins is starting to grow as WWE Champion after some questionable booking, Brock Lesnar is working more dates, The New Day have become the most entertaining act in the company, and John Cena – while taking a leave of absence shortly – will be back on TV when 2016 rolls around. Even The Rock is rumored to be returning soon, starting the build for his first match since WrestleMania Xxix.
Despite how difficult it is, it’s almost impossible not to look at 2016 and start to imagine just what the year might hold.

Kevin Owens made a major splash on the wrestling scene when he was brought up from Nxt to the main roster to face John Cena in his very first match. That match, which took place at Elimination Chamber, had Owens defeating Cena clean. There couldn’t have been a better way for a debut to play out.
Owens and Cena went on to have two more encounters on pay per view following their initial match, and Cena gained the victory in both of those rematches. All three matches were excellent performances, but many fans and writers alike criticized the fact that Cena won two out of the three matches.
Owens had a homecoming of sorts on Friday evening, wrestling in front of his hometown crowd in Montreal, Canada. Slam Sports sat down with him for an interview, and Owens gave his thoughts on his feud with Cena.

Even the most passionate Kevin Steen fans wouldn’t have seen the impact that the rechristened Kevin Owens would have on the largest wrestling stage of them all.
Within a couple of months of making his debut in Nxt, Owens defeated Sami Zayn for the Nxt title, and just a couple of months after that he made his debut on the main roster, defeating John Cena clean as a whistle right in the middle of the ring. It has been a dream start for the French Canadian, and to say his future is bright would be a huge understatement.
His momentum may have slowed down in recent times, but when you open with such intense forward movement, expecting a continuation of that is perhaps naive. After tussling with Cesaro, Owens seems to have set his sights on the WWE’s version of a poisoned chalice, the Intercontinental Championship.

Kevin Owens is WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart’s favourite wrestler in the business today.
The former WWE Champion was speaking during a Q&A with Off The Record’s Periscope account, where he was asked who his favourite heel currently working in the ring was. The Hitman replied: He’s (Kevin Owens) one of my favourites, period!
“He’s very good. He’s a Canadian guy and he’s a really hard working wrestler.”
The former Nxt Champions has made a considerable splash on the main roster since ‘stepping up’ to make his unannounced debut as part of the John Cena Us Open Challenge in May.
He’s been involved in the upper echelons of the card since and even gained a clean win against Cena on his in-ring debut at Elimination Chamber.

The WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam will see the WWE Champion Seth Rollins defend his title against United States Champion John Cena in a match where the winner gets both titles.
The background for the match is that Cena hasn’t wrestled since beating Rollins clean on Raw on July 27, which was the same night Rollins gave him a broken nose that required surgery. If Cena wins the WWE Title then he becomes a 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion and he ties Ric Flair’s recognized record number of reigns.

There are plenty of rumours about why the Elimination Chamber has been removed from the normal pay-per-view list, but it did not stay away long. WWE: Elimination Chamber 2015 became a WWE Network special but here in the UK we also get a DVD release. Read on for my thoughts…
The timing of the Elimination chamber event was interesting. It is important to look at where this came in the evolution of WWE, and that is when things were starting to change for the better. Nxt is paying off as a place of development and integration of new Superstars and some impressive talent coming through; this showed a lot in WWE: Elimination Chamber 2015. Just looking at John Cena vs. Kevin Owens proved this.
The Nxt Champion (at that time) proved he could stand tall in the WWE ring, and he could fight against the so-called Superman of the squared circle,...

When WWE announced that the usual Elimination Chamber PPV that was due to be held in February was being replaced by a new contest called Fast Lane, there was speculation that the WWE event with the most impressive stage set by far was destined for the scrap heap. It was a huge surprise then when it was announced on the 11th May edition of Raw that Elimination Chamber would be returning exclusively on the WWE Network at the end of the month.
Not only that, WWE made history in announcing that Elimination Chamber 2015 would be hosting the first ever tag team bout in the fearsome structure, and making it for the WWE Tag Team Championship at that. Pitting The New Day versus Cesaro & Tyson Kidd versus Prime Time Players versus Los Matadores versus Lucha Dragons versus The Ascension, this ground breaking match was given sufficient time to breathe and delivered magnificently.

On the surface – and in the headline – there are only two storylines fans will be talking about coming out of WWE Battleground: The return of the Undertaker, who reemerged from clanging and banging in Death Valley to seek retribution against Brock Lesnar, and Kevin Owens' loss (by submission) to John Cena.
Neither development is necessarily good – unless you're the Face of the Franchise – and the resulting ripples are even worse. There are just five weeks until one of WWE's marquee events, SummerSlam, and at the moment it's being...

There’s a Huge rumour floating around that Sunday’s WWE Battleground event will see The Undertaker make a surprise return, which would then lead to a match at SummerSlam.
The rumour comes from a user named “falconarrow” on Reddit, who mentioned a major spoiler regarding Battleground. While he didn’t specifically say The Undertaker, he said that “he’s back” and when another user suggested Steve Austin, he said: “No not him. The guy with the coffins.”
While there are always going to be credibility questions that arise when somebody on Reddit posts something, “falconarrow” has actually got a good track record for spoilers in the recent past, correcting predicting; Samoa Joe’s WWE debut, Mark Henry replacing Rusev in the Elimination Chamber match for the Ic Title, Ryback winning the Ic Title, the Nxt Divas invasion and a few other things. Seth Rollins defends the WWE World Heavyweight Title against Dean Ambrose this Sunday in a Ladder Match for WWE’s most coveted prize. Also taking place on Sunday is the Money in the Bank contract ladder match, which will allow the winner the chance to “cash in” the coveted briefcase to get a shot at the WWE Champion any time they want.
Our question is who do you think will leave Money in the Bank as the WWE Champion? Here are the three choices.

It seems like barely a day has passed since Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns scurried into the Elimination Chamber crowd with their greatest foe’s championship belt, but fans are now just days away from the next PPV of a packed WWE schedule.
Money In The Bank is perhaps chief among the WWE’s “minor” Pay Per Views in terms of guaranteed excitement. The titular match delivers in terms of both action (multiple men risking life and limb to snatch a title shot hanging from the ceiling) and storyline drama, and the promotion have done a good job in varying the booking of briefcase storylines since its inception in 2005. Non-ladder matches have also traditionally delivered at this PPV, most notably the classic Cena vs Punk epic in 2011.
However, 2015’s edition could lag behind its predecessors due to one major factor: the winner of the briefcase looks a foregone conclusion.

Whether it's 3Mb (R.I.P.) hitting Bourbon Street to bring the rock or Dean Ambrose taking Seth Rollins' Heavyweight Championship belt on an Instagram tour of the French Quarter, WWE loves to make New Orleans a character in its own right when descending upon the Crescent City. In fact, they may as well have entered New Orleans as a final participant in Sunday's Money in the Bank ladder match, since it's already a fairly unwieldy affair.
But then, all that would have taken away from the surprise of Kofi Kingston not winning.

After Raw went off the air at about 15 minutes past the top of the third hour, John Cena had a match with Bray Wyatt that Cena won clean with the Attitude Adjustment. That’s a typical finish to end a taping because the idea is to send the crowd home happy with a babyface winning.
Cena didn’t have a match on Raw after possibly breaking his nose on Sunday when he worked with King Barrett at a live event. During Cena’s promo segment with Kevin Owens on Raw, Cena’s nose look busted up although apparently it wasn’t bad enough to keep him from doing a dark match. Assuming Cena doesn’t work the Smackdown taping on Tuesday, he should get plenty of rest before his hard hitting match with Owens on Sunday.

Some weeks Raw makes you want to go back to simpler times, like 1994. We may have had to witness Jeff Jarrett defeating Virgil on the show then, but we only had to sit through it once. We didn’t watch it three times in three weeks like Neville and Bo Dallas with the same outcome every time, or see Randy Orton and Sheamus battling for the millionth time, or Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston fighting for the eight millionth time, or struggling through three Roman Reigns’ matches in one night. I would take round two of Jarrett and Virgil in 2015 if it meant even a small break from this monotony.
This week’s biggest liar award goes to Michael Cole, who claimed to have never seen anyone jump from top of the Elimination Chamber cage. He must have forgot that John Morrison did it once…in a match that he was announcing.

World Wrestling Entertainment has been full of surprises in the past month. Whether it’s announcing a show like Elimination Chamber with only two weeks of build, bringing in Kevin Owens to beat John Cena, Samoa Joe showing up without being officially advertised, Steve Austin doing a passionate promo about Brock Lesnar to setup a possible match at WrestleMania 32 or the announcement of a WWE live event in Japan airing on WWE Network, it’s been hard to know what WWE might do at any given time. That makes things exciting for fans because the product had become stale for quite a while, but now there’s a freshness to the product that wasn’t there before.
That doesn’t mean that every WWE show is great. Raw is still too long at three hours while Smackdown isn’t treated like a major show, but when it comes...

Money in the Bank ladder matches are the most chaotic and damaging multi-person affairs we see in WWE. And with Elimination Chamber recently passed on the WWE Network, it’s almost time again to crown the new ‘Mr. Money in the Bank.’
This year, dangling high above the ring will be a contract guaranteeing a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at any place, at any time over the next calendar year. Seth Rollins used his chance after winning last year so effectively at WrestleMania, but now opportunity knocks for Roman Reigns, Kane, Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus and Neville to follow in his footsteps.
But with the briefcase hanging aloft, it means ladders – and heights – are involved. While Superstars’ main intention is to scale to the top and grab the contract, there’s going to be plenty of thrills, spills, bumps and shocks along the way.

At Elimination Chamber 2015, Ryback captured his first ever championship title in WWE. He defeated five other wrestlers inside the Chamber to become the Intercontinental Champion.
The win came as a slight shock because it seemed that Sheamus or King Barrett were more likely to win. Even so, The Big Guy is the Ic Champion and now needs a new direction to take his title. A worthy feud is in order for him.
Ryback is rumored to face off against both The Miz and Big Show at Money in the Bank in a little over a week, but that gives relatively no time to create a compelling story.
Is this merely the beginnings of a rivalry with one or both of those guys or is it just a quick win for Ryback to get the ball rolling for his reign? WWE might even have a different contender in mind for him.

Ryback won the WWE Intercontinental Title at Elimination Chamber on Sunday, but he wasn’t the first choice to win the belt. According to the Wrestling Observer, Sheamus was originally planned to be the winner before a late change was made to Ryback.
Since the Ic Title was vacant after Daniel Bryan’s injury, six men were put in the Chamber and Sheamus was considered the favorite by most people because it would have given him a lot of momentum since he turned heel a few months ago. Sheamus has held every singles title in WWE except the Ic Title.

The Prime Time Players duo of Darren Young and Titus O’Neil have earned themselves a WWE Tag Team Title match at WWE Money in the Bank on June 14 when they face the Tag Team Champions, The New Day.
Young and O’Neil earned their spot by winning a triple threat match on SmackDown against The Ascension and Lucha Dragons, which wasn’t much of a surprise. The Prime Time Players also were the runners up during the Elimination Chamber match on Sunday and then won a six man tag on Raw. It’s typical WWE booking where they want to try to build a team up so that they can become legitimate contenders.

The ever-changing nature of the professional wrestling business means that news is constantly revolving around the industry, getting to fans quicker than ever before. On one hand, this gives promotions instant access to their target demographic, but also makes it a little more difficult to spin stories out for more than a few short weeks.
Longevity isn’t exactly prevalent in today’s wrestling world, which only makes it all the more surprising that the likes of Kane continues to have a featured role on WWE programming. Making his debut in 1997, Glenn Jacobs has constantly tweaked his character to try and stay relevant, which is likely a trick he picked up from his storyline brother, The Undertaker.
In this week’s article, the age of the internet is discussed by one current wrestling promoter, along with the age-old argument of internet piracy. Sitting nicely alongside that debate is...

WWE decided, in their infinite wisdom, to hold another WWE PPV/Special Event in the month of May, meaning that in just over a month’s space there will have been three WWE supershows. Still, this has potential to be something special, so even though it is a bit of overkill, it’s interesting. With matches featuring many young and hungry talent as well as long-term main eventers, this is an event that could very well be a stepping stone towards an era of the Nxt-bred talent solidifying themselves as big stars on the main roster.
The Kick-off show featured some talk from the Renee Young hosted panel, plus a Miz-tv segment with Daniel Bryan, in which Bryan said he wasn’t through with in-ring competition. What a treat this was. Two weeks after WWE’s last pay per view event Payback, Elimination Chamber emanated from Corpus Christi and promised so, so much.
The main headlines coming into the show were the WWE World Heavyweight Championship meeting between former Shield members Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose; Kevin Owens’ first main roster match against United States Champion John Cena; and just how the tag team chamber match would actually work…
Needless to say this sort of show provides a respite from the rigours of the months following WrestleMania. It gives certain members of the roster an opportunity to shine and prove they can hang with superstars much higher up the pecking order.
It’s the sort of show that you, the fan, needs to take lightly. From the outset a show like EC sells itself as being a spot-fest of a ‘clustermuck’ (fans of Stone Cold...

Still, the tag team Chamber match was a blast, as was the epic showdown between John Cena and Kevin Owens. As with any WWE show, there was plenty of added value for fans who kept their eyes peeled rather than glued completely to their Twitter feed.

Dean Ambrose left the Elimination Chamber and heads to Monday Night Raw with the WWE world championship. However, this doesn’t mean he is the rightful owner. Let me explain. At the end of his stellar match with Seth Rollins the referee was taken out. Another official arrived just in time to make the three-count for Ambrose. The original man in stripes awakes and declares the main event a disqualification. Roman Reigns helps his buddy Ambrose fend of The Authority. This year’s edition of WWE Elimination Chamber was a show that appeared out of nowhere, but undoubtedly left its mark on the landscape of WWE. After two Elimination Chamber contests, where we saw a new Intercontinental Champion crowned, and tag teams enter the hellish structure for the first time, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose layed it on the line for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. However, the main roster debut of Kevin Owens against John Cena was something to behold and re-watch until the WWE Network ceases to exist. As Wrestlemania season fades to the background, WWE has clearly opened up its plan for the summer with little hesitation.
Furthermore, with Money in The Bank on June 14th, this show gave us a preview of what to look for on that day, as well as its own moments to write about at length. As a show that only featured 6 matches,...

The WWE Elimination Chamber three hour WWE Network special took place on Sunday in Corpus Christi, Texas. Here are results of everything that happened.
During the Kickoff Show, Stardust beat Zack Ryder.
Also during the Kickoff Show, Daniel Bryan was a guest on Miz TV. Bryan was there to plug his book. Miz acted like a jerk towards him, so Bryan brought out Macho Mandow and AxelMania, who teamed together to send Miz out of the ring.
The main show began with the first time ever Tag Team Title match inside the Elimination Chamber. The New Day were allowed to have all three members in the match. They were also the last team to enter the match, which was apparently a favour from The Authority since New Day helped them on Smackdown. The New Day won the match to retain their titles by last eliminating the Prime Time Players.

The New Day won the match to retain their titles by last eliminating the Prime Time Players.

Elimination Chamber has returned, along with WWE’s crummy math skills! This week it was hammered home that Seth Rollins has a “one in six chance” of walking out with his belt. Not to be too much of a stickler, but that only makes sense if every single wrestler is at the exact same skill level. So unless you’re Villano IV and Villano V that logic doesn’t apply here!
Let’s look at a better stat. In the 12 Elimination Chamber matches where the champion had to put his title on the line, they walked out with it…six times! So really, his odds are closer to one in two if you go by booking logic. It doesn’t take a Lanny Poffo to figure this out WWE! Well, elsewhere in the wrestling world, Ring of Honor is coming to Destination America. But are they friends or foes?...

A photo is circulating on Twitter of Rusev in a wheelchair. His leg is bound up in a cast and it appears as if he is needing to be wheeled through the airport.
This follows reports last night that the Bulgarian Brute had injured his leg. Details are limited right now, but obviously it doesn’t look good.
Reports from Smackdown stated that Rusev was selling a leg injury and was helped to the back by trainers. It could be that he is just continuing selling the injury, but it is more likely that something really was up.
Obviously this is terrible timing. He has only just split from Lana and was expected to be involved in a major angle and feud around that. He’s now potentially away from television for months on end while she’s just moving on.
It has been a fairly dismal year.

This was as crucial an episode of Raw as they come.
Following the unparalleled success of Nxt Takeover Unstoppable it was paramount that Raw put on a show to assert itself as the premier show in the company. Not that it would ever come into question in the mainstream stakes, Raw is in dangerous territory at the moment in the eyes of pure professional wrestling fans.
There’s little doubting Nxt puts on a far more compelling show and that a lot of the content seen on a Monday night pales in significance. Then again it is harder to fill three hours of television every week than it is to fill one hour and a pay per view held once every blue moon.
The reviews of the developmental territory’s show have gone through the roof and left those writing Raw undoubtedly sweating and looking over their collective shoulders somewhat.

Hot on the heels of the ‘Worst Superstars To Wrestle In the Elimination Chamber‘ list comes the opposite side of the coin: the 10 Best Superstars To Have Competed In The Elimination Chamber.
The denizens of the previous article were the lesser celebrated superstars that most fans would like to forget ever entered the hallowed demonic structure; but this article will feature the very best of the best of the wrestling business from the last couple of decades.
Well, it will mostly feature the best of the best. There may be a few surprises ahead as well!
Through a complicated and scientifically irreproachable algorithm (kind of), this list will study the number of appearances each superstar has made, offsetting that number against their victories and eliminations in the Chamber, before reaching a definitive Top 10 list that only a madman could question. Theoretically.
Before the list begins, here are some...

What a wild and crazy week it was for WWE in a good way. There were a lot of newsworthy items with Samoa Joe making his anticipated WWE debut at the Nxt special on Wednesday. That came two days after Kevin Owens’ first time on Raw after he got right in John Cena’s face to make a huge statement.
WWE put on three really good shows in four days with Payback on Sunday, Raw was one of the better shows on Monday and then on Wednesday the Nxt Takeover show had what may have been the best match of the week with Sasha Banks beating Becky Lynch to retain the Nxt Women’s Title.
It’s starting to feel like maybe WWE is about to turn a corner in a positive direction with a young roster that keeps adding talented performers. With Elimination Chamber taking place next...

This week’s Smackdown was part of a very busy week from WWE since they had a solid Payback show on Sunday, a really good Raw episode on Monday and another exciting Nxt Takeover special on Wednesday. With Smackdown taping on Tuesday and airing in the Us on Thursday it definitely got lost in the shuffle. That’s what happens when WWE doesn’t treat it like a major show.
The good news about this week’s Smackdown is that there was at least some storyline progression. There are some weeks where they barely do anything in that regard. However, this week there was a good focus on the Divas Title, Tag Team Titles and some of the other feuds that started to develop on Raw. That’s what happens when you only have two weeks until the Elimination Chamber show.
Here are the match results from this week’s Smackdown.

Big Show is one of the oldest active wrestlers in WWE, but he’s still a big part of storylines. After putting over Roman Reigns in a very good match at Extreme Rules last month, Show has been off TV. The plan was to keep him off for the three weeks between Extreme Rules and Payback. Then they would bring him back after that. However, there was no sign of Show on Raw or Smackdown this week.
The word on Show is that there’s no injury. It’s just a matter of creative having nothing for him on Raw. Show is still due to return any week now and if it doesn’t happen at the Elimination Chamber PPV on May 31 then his return may be delayed until June according to the Wrestling Observer.
It’s actually smart to take him off TV once in a while...
