Zombies and Stoners a Great Mix
TheSilentCrow-13 September 2012
Warning: Spoilers
That 10 star rating, yes, belongs to a movie with an estimated $90 budget and I'll tell you why. Living Deadhead is an excellent short horror/comedy film that looks like it was produced with a much higher budget. The movie images are crisp and clear and the makeup and effects were very very well done. The fake blood looks like real blood and the other elements of gore also look very realistic. The acting was superb and the actors did well with their characters. There was only one prop flaw that i noticed but it was so minute that it doesn't need explanation.

The story in the movie is a delightful comedic tale of a stoner's home life and what he would do should there be a zombie infestation of his neighborhood. Little does he know that he's in for a surprise after defeating a few of the living dead.

Throughout the short film there are various references to other zombie related movies (used very well for comedic purposes), including a few scenes taken from Night of the Living Dead and what may be (i'm not sure, but it seemed like it to me) a small reference to DellaMorte DellaMore's Gnaghi character during the shovel zombie kill scene. There may even be more references to other films that i didn't pick up on. Even though other zombie movies are referenced the film does not lack its own separate fantastic originality.

I highly recommend seeing this film to all Jackson, Michigan residents and to others worldwide who are fond of comedy mixed with zombie horror.

Extra Note: This film may contain the longest movie character urination, ever.
