Another amazing episode to finish off the Colossaeus trilogy. In the start, the focus on the rowing of the oars in the start was confusing for a bit, and I'll get back to that. Right after that scene though, we see Kamau about to be forced to kill Fang. Before we see him bring the axe down we get a clean transition to a better time when he was still in his original village. We get to see that Kamau was a peaceful man with how he chose to preserve life instead of kill it, in how he saved the spider. We also see how the Colossaeus ruined his village and how quickly the Queen was able to snake around him to steal his daughter and force him to work for her. Kamau choosing to free Fang instead of harm her at all showed me that a strong new bond had been formed by him and the main cast. The revolt that ensued was awesome, and I love how we got a moment were we saw Spear and Mira's different strengths in how Spear used his shackles as a weapon and how Mira found a key to free them both. When we got the reveal of the slaves controlling the oars the beginning scene immediately clicked in my brain. This ship just can not function without some kind of slaves! It was great when Mira had to pick up Fangs baby to jump overboard with it, and how we saw once again that Mira has completely gained Fang's trust. I loved the leap of faith scene and how the threat of the oars coming down on them and hurting them was unknowingly being dealt with by Kamau. The rebellion of the slaves against the colossaeus soldiers was awesome to me, and when they came up from inside the ship to fight back it felt amazing. Another part I absolutely adored was the death of the Queen by Kamau's hand. A gruesome end is exactly what she deserved and it was immensely satisfying to see her lying dead on the same ship where Spear, Fang, and Mira were. I loved when in the end we saw Kamau and Spear exchange glances of approval as they parted ways. Just an overall amazing and satisfying conclusion to this three part episode string. Oh, and one other thing that really had me on the edge was when the Queen tried using those huge weapons on Fang, and how close she had been to hitting the shot both times. That scene at the end where we see the fire Viking walking on water in pursuit of Spear has got me dying to see how spear is going to overcome him in this seasons' final episode. This season has been sensational and this trilogy has made it even better with people like Kamau.

Predictable and unsatisfying

Warning: Spoilers
Well, I guess it's my fault for getting my hopes up after last episode. This episode had absolutely 0 surprises. Everything went perfectly. The big slave turning on his masters and freeing fang instead of killing her could be seen from a mile away.

None of the "emotional" moments even made me feel anything either, because they were all unearned. I'm sorry, but I don't care that the big slave reunited with his kid because I already knew it was going to happen.

The only part that made me feel anything was when fang's kid got shot with an arrow, but it was fine in the end so who cares?! I guess I enjoyed the empress' death, but that's about all of the positive things I can say. The only reason it's a 5 is because at least I was entertained.

Lastly, that cliffhanger is a complete joke. I think the Viking guy being hired by satan to kill spear and fang is probably the dumbest plot line in the whole show. It's the only reason I gave Colossaeus part 1 a 4/10 even tho the death of fang's egg was one of the best scenes in the show. First of all, why does satan even care about spear and fang? He's the freaking devil! And he's worried about 2 mammals! I wouldn't be surprised if in the next episode god comes down and says "I will save you, spear and fang," and then kills satan 🤣. Seriously, I'm not kidding.

I know this review is gonna get downvoted because I'm a "hater," and while yes that's true, I am hate watching, I genuinely believe this show has potential. Coven of the damned from season 1 was really good and the ending was very emotional. And this season wasn't all bad, either! "Sea of despair" was okay even tho it had some dumb moments, "the red mist" was very action packed and enjoyable, and "colossaeus part 2" was pretty intense. But I can't be any nicer to this show. I am not looking forward to the finale, but I will definitely watch it. 5/10.
