- The eleven teams travel from Cagraray, Philippines to Delhi, India. Sparks fly when one team struggle to navigate Delhi's chaotic streets. A breach of the race rules could prove costly for one team.
- At the end of a mandatory rest period, father and daughter Ross & Tarryn are the first team to depart at 12:58am. They open up their clue, which tells them to travel by Jeepney to Manila International Airport and fly to New Delhi, the capital of India. Once there, they must make their way to a 2,000 year old well and unravel the turbans of some Indian mystics. If the turban that they find is empty, they must re-tie it and keep searching until they find a turban that is marked CORRECT, which they can exchange for their next clue. The teams will have A$50 for this leg of the race. Ross compared getting over the line first on the first leg with his daughter to playing finals in the Australian Football League because it gives him such a great thrill, while Tarryn feels that they made the right call in using their Salvage Pass to save sisters Lucy & Emilia from elimination in the previous leg, but mentions that if it had been a different team in last, then it might have been a different story.
The next three teams to depart are engaged couple Kym & Donna, who depart at 1:01am, dating couple James & Sarah, who depart at 1:08am, and hairdressers Sue & Teresa, departing at 1:11am. The hairdressers are excited about going to India because of the spiritual sense of the country. They like to give good vibes and get good vibes. They are followed by flatmates Sticky & Sam, brother and sister Joseph & Grace, cheerleading twins Michelle & Jo and police officers Shane & Andrew, who depart at 1:15am, 1:25am, 1:31am and 1:57am respectively. The cops, knowing how popular cricket is in India, try to "disguise" themselves as Brett Lee and Glenn McGrath. The final three teams to depart are Aboriginal cousins Adam & Dane at 2:30am, workmates Paul & Steve at 2:34am and Lucy & Emilia at 3:39am.
When the Jeepneys arrive at Manila International Airport, Sue & Teresa are the first team to book tickets on a flight to New Delhi that departs that night at 6:25pm. As the first teams wait to board the plane, James & Sarah have an experience that James later compares to a soap opera, where Sarah wants a drink, but James, wanting to save as much money as he could, wouldn't let her. When she complains that she is thirsty, James relents and buys her a bottle, but after he gives it to her, she tells him not to bother giving it to her because she doesn't want it, which leads James to tell her that she is over-reacting. Joseph & Grace notice that two teams are yet to arrive, and Paul & Steve show up soon afterwards. When check-in for the Philippine Airlines flight opens, there is still no sign of Lucy & Emilia, but with the other teams seated, the sisters arrive on the plane. The flight stops at Bangkok before arriving in New Delhi at 12:50am.
At the airport, all eleven teams search for taxis. Paul & Steve are the first to leave, but Sue & Teresa's taxi driver drives like a crazy man, making the tyres screech like in a cartoon every time he turned a corner. Shane & Andrew try their cover story about being Australian cricketers, but it leaves their taxi driver nonplussed. James & Sarah still argue about their drink incident at Manila, with Sarah explaining her apparent back-flip by saying that she doesn't need James to tell her when she can have a drink. Adam & Dane are the first to reach the well, only to find a sign that its hours of operation are from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
After a wait of about five hours, the gates at the well open, allowing the eleven teams to enter and start unravelling turbans. After a couple of minutes, Sticky & Sam are the first to find a turban with the correct marking, followed soon after by Ross & Tarryn. They open up their clues and find themselves at the Detour, with the choices of Pull or Poo, both involving India's most sacred animal. Teams choosing Pull have to travel to a nearby dairy farm and take turns milking a cow. Each person has to collect half a litre of milk, which they can exchange for their next clue once it is collected. Teams choosing Poo have to travel to the same dairy farm, where they must use only their hands to mould cow dung and hay into fuel bricks, used in millions of Indian households as heat for cooking. When teams have made fifty bricks that can stick to a wall, they will receive their next clue. Both of the leading teams choose to do Pull and head for auto-rickshaws to take them to the dairy.
The other teams continue searching for turbans at the well, with Lucy & Emilia trying to pick the good looking mystics. Shane & Andrew are the next to find a turban with the right marking, and they choose to do Pull after they receive the Detour clue. Sue & Teresa see one mystic who keeps trying to run away from them, so they unravel his turban and find the word CORRECT on it. They also choose Pull. On the way to the dairy, Ross notes how chaotic Delhi's streets are, with trucks and buses swerving to squeeze their auto-rickshaw out. Sticky & Sam's auto-rickshaw comes to a stop in traffic, and they are approached by two men dressed as women who try to rub them up. Shane & Andrew are taken on a wild goose chase and end up 30 kilometres away from where they should have been. They get out of the auto-rickshaw they were in and into the one it was following, and the driver of their original auto-rickshaw follows them and then starts shouting in Hindi at their new driver, a situation that is foreign to Shane, who normally likes to be in control.
Lucy & Emilia find a grumpy mystic at the well, and his turban turns out to be one that they are looking for. Kym & Donna are the next to find a "CORRECT" turban. When they receive the Detour, the engaged couple choose Pull while the sisters go for Poo. The first teams arrive at the dairy and start to milk cows, using aluminium bowls marked with two lines - the first person had to fill the bowl with milk to the first line, while the second person had to fill it to the second line. Sticky & Sam choose a cow that proves to be quite temperamental. Adam & Dane and James & Sarah are the next teams to find turbans with CORRECT on them, and they both decide to do Pull at the Detour. After a hard start, Ross fills his bowl half-way and switches over to Tarryn, but she becomes frustrated when she has trouble getting started. Ross offers to take her backpack to help her concentrate a little more. Sam fills up his bowl, but as he tries to switch to Sticky, their cow becomes angry and they can't stop it from knocking their saucer over. Sue & Teresa warm their hands up before they start milking cows.
Joseph & Grace are next to find the right turban at the well, and they decide to do Pull at the Detour, which leaves Michelle & Jo and Paul & Steve as the last teams searching among the mystics' turbans. Although Paul & Steve did not want to get beaten by the cheerleaders, it is the twins that are next to see the word CORRECT on a turban they unravel. As they set off to milk a cow, Paul & Steve find it hard to see which turbans haven't already been searched. Ahead of them, Adam & Dane, Kym & Donna, Lucy & Emilia and James & Sarah arrive at the dairy. Lucy & Emilia watch how much hay is mixed with the cow dung as they start to make fuel bricks, while Donna, Adam and Sarah start milking cows for their teams. Back at the well, Paul & Steve finally see CORRECT on a green turban, and they choose to do Poo at the Detour. Sticky, who has an amputated left arm, has to set the bowl on the ground while he tries milking the cow with his good right hand, but the cow puts her foot in the bowl and tips it over. They decide to switch tasks, the first time Sam has ever seen Sticky quit in the 12 years he has known him. Meanwhile, Sue & Teresa are first to fill their bowl and receive the next clue. They have to travel by auto rickshaw to Qila-e-Kuhna Masjid in Delhi's Old Fort and find a Bollywood film set, where both team members must perform a dance routine and read from a Hindi script to the satisfaction of the director. If either part of their audition doesn't impress, they will have to do it all again. Only when their dance and dialogue are both correct will the team receive their next clue.
Sticky & Sam start making fuel bricks by shovelling cow dung into a basket without stopping to think about what they were doing. When they see that Lucy & Emilia had done about half of their wall, the flatmates' competitive side kicks in. In another part of the dairy, Ross & Tarryn finish filling up their bowl with cow's milk as Joseph & Grace and Michelle & Jo arrive at the dairy. The cow that Michelle starts milking wees, while the cow James tries milking kicks their bowl and knocks out about a third of their milk. Kym picks a better cow and fills up the bowl, allowing him and Donna to receive the clue sending them to the Bollywood film set. Adam & Dane see them leave, realise they had arrived at the dairy at the same time as them and try to hurry things up. On their way to the dairy, Paul & Steve find Shane & Andrew, who are still lost. The police officers try to follow the workmates, but lose them despite being only two metres away. Paul & Steve arrive at the dairy, and seeing Sticky & Sam and Lucy & Emilia hard at work making fuel bricks, they are confident that the other teams wouldn't beat them because they were physically weaker than the workmates. Joseph & Grace and Michelle & Jo continue milking their cows as James & Sarah and Adam & Dane fill their bowls with milk.
Sue & Teresa arrive at the Old Fort ahead of Ross & Tarryn and Kym & Donna. The hairdressers get their costumes on and their makeup and hair done and rehearse their dance, but admit that as Bollywood dancers, they make great hairdressers. When Adam & Dane pay their rickshaw driver on their arrival at the Old Fort, they realise that they don't have much money left. Ross & Tarryn struggle with the timing during their dance rehearsal. Shane & Andrew finally make it to the dairy while Joseph & Grace get close to filling their bowl, but when a sudden movement forces Grace to take the bowl out quickly, some of their milk spills. Jo takes over from Michelle, but their cow does a poo on her while she milks. Meanwhile, Lucy & Emilia fuss over their fuel bricks, which allow Sticky & Sam to be the first team to complete the Poo task. On the way to the Bollywood film set, Sarah complains that their rickshaw is too slow and gets it to stop, claiming that they can walk faster than it goes, but once they are out, they start to argue as their vehicle continues along the street. They end up hailing another rickshaw.
At the Old Fort, Sue & Teresa are the first team to perform, having rehearsed their dance and script. They nail the dance, but have trouble getting their tongues around the Hindi words, and are told by the director that it was really bad. As Lucy & Emilia continue making fuel bricks, they realise that in order to get them to stick on the wall, they had to put the cow dung on the bottom of the brick, and Emilia shares this information with the other teams, a move that Paul & Steve later consider a mistake on her part, but which Lucy thought was nice. Paul & Steve use the "tip" to complete making the bricks ahead of the sisters, while at the cows, Jo fills up her team's bowl with cow milk. Ross & Tarryn are next to try their luck with the Bollywood dance and script, but are overwhelmed during the dance and have to do it again. Kym & Donna get through the dance well enough, but have trouble with the script. Joseph & Grace fill up their bowl of milk, and Shane & Andrew realise that they are now in last place.
Lucy & Emilia's rickshaw gets them to the Old Fort ahead of Paul & Steve, but the workmates run to the Bollywood set, re-passing the sisters along the way. Adam & Dane are next to try performing, but they get mixed up about where they should be dancing and have to go back. James & Sarah get to the script, but Sarah, who James normally can't get to shut up, has trouble speaking, and they too have to try again. As they return to the rehearsal area, Sarah tells James that she "has to get that Buhb word", referring to Bhubaneshwar. Sue & Teresa get out their "aura spray" when they keep struggling with the words at rehearsal. Back at the dairy, Shane & Andrew fill up their bowl and set off on an auto-rickshaw for the Old Fort.
On the Bollywood set, Sticky & Sam are next to perform. Before then, their only dance experience had been the Nutbush and Macarena. Despite this, the director tells them that their dancing was pretty good, so they move on to the dialogue. They get through the script, and the director then presents them with their next clue. They have to make their way to the next Pit Stop at the Qutub Minar, one of India's oldest Islamic shrines, built more than 800 years ago. They are jumping with joy as they head to change out of their costumes, and are noticed by Sue & Teresa and Ross & Tarryn. The hairdressers then give it another go and impress the director. Adam & Dane, seeing the hairdressers leaving, realise that they have to smash their performance. Sticky & Sam have to ask for directions to the Qutub Minar, and as they leave the Old Fort, they realise that Sue & Teresa are ahead of them. Joseph & Grace and Shane & Andrew arrive at the Old Fort, while Michelle & Jo are next to take the stage. They have fun with their dance, drawing on their cheerleading experience, and make it through the script as well. The next three teams to perform, Adam & Dane, Kym & Donna and Ross & Tarryn, also impress the director.
Sticky & Sam's rickshaw driver drops them off near Qutub Minar, and after convincing a guard to open a gate for them, they reach the shrine and find host Grant Bowler, who tells them that they are team number one. As the winners of this leg of the race, they receive two tickets to the 2012 Japanese MotoGP, where they will fly to the home of Honda, experience all of the race action and then get VIP access with the Repsol Honda team, a prize worth A$10,000. On winning the leg, Sticky & Sam say that they thought other teams might look over them, thinking that because Sticky only has one arm, he might not be able to do a lot of things, but now that they have been able to get over that hurdle and still win, they will be taken more seriously now. Michelle & Jo are the second team to arrive at the Pit Stop.
Adam & Dane and Ross & Tarryn are unsure of the best way to get to Qutub Minar. Knowing that Adam & Dane are short on money, Ross & Tarryn are prepared to buy the cousins' tickets, but at the nearest station, they are told that it is not on that line. They don't have enough money for two rickshaws, so Adam & Dane tell them to go, and that they will have to sort something out. They start to get frantic, knowing that if they can't get a taxi, they will face the prospect of elimination. When a son and his mother come up to them, they decide to offer them a new pair shoes for money. Afterwards, they say that they got the raw end of the deal, having sold a A$150 pair of shoes for 200 rupiah, but it buys them a rickshaw all the way to the Pit Stop. In the back of their head, they are unsure about if they are allowed to do it, but they are prepared to deal with the consequences if they come.
Back at the Old Fort, Lucy & Emilia are next to perform. After making it through the dance, they use their familiarity with Bollywood's language and phonetics and how things are often over-the-top to make it through the script and receive their clue. Paul & Steve flex their way through the dance and impress the director with their dialogue. Having lost their lead thanks to a slow rickshaw, Sue & Teresa check in third, just ahead of Ross & Tarryn. Shane & Andrew are next to try dancing, but as they perform, they can tell that it is awful by the look on the choreographer's face. As they return determined to be more animated on the dance, Joseph & Grace come to the stage and make it through both the dance and the script, and feel relieved to do so. Lucy & Emilia have trouble asking for directions to Qutub Minar, but eventually find out that it is 35 kilometres from where they are, while Joseph & Grace find a bicycle-powered rickshaw to take them to the Pit Stop. On their third attempt, James & Sarah make it through the dance and script. Shane & Andrew, again realising that they are last, know that they had to nail the task quickly because their heads were on the chopping block. They offer some advice to their children - even if they fail, there is no harm in them having a go. With their dancing being animated enough to impress the choreographer, the police officers move on to the dialogue, and then receive the clue to the Pit Stop.
Paul & Steve and Kym & Donna are the fifth and sixth teams to arrive at the Pit Stop. Adam & Dane arrive in seventh, but are told by Grant that because their sold their shoes and other items of clothing in a clear breach of the Race rules, he cannot check them in, and they have incurred a 30 minute time penalty, which they have to wait out beside the mat. Lucy & Emilia finally find an auto-rickshaw to take them to Qutub Minar, while Shane & Andrew are the seventh team checked in with 10 minutes of Adam & Dane's penalty served. Joseph & Grace pass James & Sarah during the sprint to the mat, and they become the eighth and ninth teams to check in. With around three minutes remaining on Adam & Dane's penalty time, Lucy & Emilia arrive at the Pit Stop, having been impressed by a quick auto-rickshaw driver. The sisters are checked in tenth, then Grant calls Adam & Dane back to the mat and tells them that they are the last team to be checked in, and they are the first team to be eliminated from the race, but that they should be proud of what they have achieved on the first two legs. They are proud of their indigenous background and wanted to have fun on the race and enjoy the moment, and they think they certainly did that.
