Slade kidnaps Thea as a part of his plot to destroy Oliver. Will Team Arrow save her in time? Will Roy be shirtless?
Last year, Oliver and his merry band of do-gooders were faced with a shadowy enemy with an unknown agenda. They only finally figured out the enemy was Malcolm Merlyn and that he wanted to destroy the Glades at the very end. This year, Oliver and Team Arrow know who their enemy is and what he wants and they’re utterly unable to do anything about it.
I have to say, when it comes to building tension, these Arrow writers know what they’re doing. I don’t think any show has managed to build up to the Big Bad this well since Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Given that Buffy writer alum Drew Greenberg is one of the masterminds of the show, I guess that sort of makes sense.
