2 Guys and a Boat
SusanLervold22 January 2019
What a terrific series: two affable Canadian guys spend nearly two months rafting/row-boating 2500K down the Ganges River. As an armchair traveler, it was fun to catch a glimpse of a totally different world from mine. The fact that the two protagonists, Dustin and Adrian, were both so likeable, relatable, and humble is what really set this apart from other travel docs.

Great job, guys, and thank you for sharing your trip!

Best Adventure Tourism Piece yet-- period
charlesdowdell-4404928 March 2019
We are junkies for adventure tourism flicks. We have been to every continent and nearly 100 countries ourselves.

These guys have pushed the envelope for everyone else in this domain. The more you know about travel the more you know what these guys went through.

The personalities are good for the craziness. Justin seems like a Russian die-hard and Adrian seems like a millennial loafer.

It was great to watch their muscle tone grow.

The thing we liked the most was the de-evolution.. Watching 1st world Canadians become third world Indians was good-- unnatural -- backwards, but real.

Great Job guys.

Perfectly encapsulates 3rd world travel
Chriper712 December 2021
If you've travelled, especially in the 3rd world, you know how awful it can be some days and all you want to do is go home. Other days you love it, having experiences you'd never have otherwise - and the people you meet is always a huge part of both the good and bad.

This show pretty much sums that whole experience up perfectly. Likeable, everyday dudes, especially that they really didn't know what they were doing- which makes the show so much better as we'd all like to know how we might react in the same situation.

Outstanding!!

As a fan Departures featuring Scott and Justin, I thought I'd like this series as it showcased more good ol' Canadian travellers. Like is an understatement. Succeeded my expectations in every way. It's a journey of sorts, yes, but so much more. Adrian and Dustin's personalities clash yet blend perfectly and what we get is to witness a wondrous trek into the unknown and discover a people and land that for the most part has always been showcased so one dimensionally. The stamina and courage these guys demonstrate all speckled with moments of utter hilarity is truly something incredible to watch. I will say the ending was a bit sudden but a total understood and pleasant surprise. Humility is these guy's most shining characteristic. It's beautifully depicted in the last minute or so. I absolutely loved this series. Guys, if you read this - please set out again. It would be an honour to witness another go!

Grateful to find this

I loved this series that I somehow stumbled upon in the depths of Amazon prime. While it may irritate some to watch their ill preparedness, it was what absolutely made this travel series stand taller than most others. No support or camera crew, just diy adventure. Lacking good planning meant they were reliant and somewhat closer to the communities they visited. You feel like you are there with them on the struggle the whole way, and it's so great to watch them persist and find such gracious and humble rewards for their efforts. Would love to see a reflection on their tour now several years after. Where are they now?

Pays off if you stick it out

Say what you want about their preparedness and travel know how, but I've never seen a better depiction of life along the Ganges in India, they stick through a trip most people would have quit when they launched into a trash bin at the beginning and they genuinely get to know the people and culture along the way and tolerate very difficult living situations from both a sanitary and sanity perspective.

Very, super awful docu series.
mcarmine30 July 2020
So I'll begin by saying both of the "hosts" and "camera-men" are as close to brain dead as you can be without having an actual injury. They say in the series they prepared and planned for this trip for a full year yet set off sail in the dry season of India with zero food, no testing of any equipment and no clue on how to work their film gear. I highly suggest not watching this series as I wish it was at least some what made properly since I hope for the best of anyone trying something new.
