Evanescence's "My Immortal" was perfect because it fit in a serious level, but also sort of mocked the kind of song that TV shows would turn to. In Twisted Metal that perfectly lines up.
The episode did drift a little too absurd at times, but it was good to see John's backstory and to have all of this play out. Ev3lin finally going down was something I thought that we might never see, but it will cause John to go a little darker and more focused moving forward.
And seeing Jason Mantzoukas back on TV and playing another insane character is long overdue. We need more people like this who fully embrace character acting.
