This was the final Vengeance event until 2021 under NXT brand, titled as NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day.
This is the second time in WWE history the ring has been collapsed since 2003 match between Big Show and Brock Lesnar, the only PPV event it had a no contest follows the damage of the ringside, and Big Show (Paul Wright) was the first wrestler that competed with another wrestler despite of extreme weight or muscular strength on his career; it wouldn't happen until 2017 episode of RAW against Braun Strowman.
The first PPV event for Vengeance since 2007.
WWE Vengeance 2011 becomes the second lowest buy rate in WWE history (total of PPV buys: 114,000).
