hyper-caffeinated characters

Yoyo, Hoops and Piddles are big Santa Claus fans. They wait on the roof to see him. They sneak on his sleigh and get thrown back in time. They disrupt young stable boy Kris Kringle who is working to compete for Master Toymaker. They try to fix what they wreck. Eventually, Kris Kringle is able to fix his toy and enter into the competition. Then they discover children are strictly forbidden from the toys.

These characters will either annoy you or charm you. I bet on annoyance for most adults although little kids may like the wacky voices and bright colors. I'm willing to give them a chance. I really like the story. It's very Christmas and has a sweet message. Most importantly, it has the essence of Santa Claus and fits a Christmas TV special.

Don't hold your breath waiting for a rerun

Warning: Spoilers
"Hoops and Yoyo Ruin Christmas" was a real disappointment overall. And that's tough for me to admit, because I'm a big fan of the pair.

First off is the title: they actually don't ruin Christmas, they just derail the emergence of the Santa Claus character for a short time. They get him back on track pretty quickly.

Much of the characters' charm comes from their overly-caffeinated behavior, but the writers dialed it WAY down. And Piddles was essentially useless.

The story was flimsy and hackneyed and, at just 30 minutes, didn't allow for any real development--just hopscotching from one point to another. Details could have made the story richer--such as why was the toy-making contest so important? Why was Kris (a self-identified "stable boy") interested in entering the contest? But the worst part was this: substitute just about any other animated characters for Hoops and Yoyo, and the net effect would be the same.

Give me the Grinch and Charlie Brown!

A decent movie

Warning: Spoilers
Story: The title is stupid because they don't actually ruin Christmas, I don't know why they came up with that title they could've named it Hoops and Yoyo: Back to Christmas Past, or something like that. Anyway, back to the story. The story just feels rushed and lazy. Animation: Ok the animation is good. I like the effects on the characters and the backgrounds. But the main problem with the animation is the 3D animation. A lot a cartoons mix 2D and 3D animation. They should've done that instead. Characters: The characters are mediocre. Let's start with the main characters, Hoops, Yoyo, and Piddles. Hoops is the pink cat who wants to see how Santa comes to every house in the world. Yoyo is what I like to call Hoops' sidekick, because he's always with him. Piddles is the brainiac who is just useless. And finally, there's Kris Kringle/ Santa. Kris wants to win the Toy contest so he can be master toymaster. But however, He gives his toy to a little girl who never had a toy. Overall: Well here's what have to say about this movie. It's a HUGE disappointment. It's not bad, it's just an disappointment. I would pefer Haunted Halloween than this. 5.9/10
