Checkmate is the first of many films from Angela Jones (a.k.a. Senoja Jones) the best new writer/executive producer in independent film. Checkmate explores love, friendship, and the difficult choices love ones are forced to make. Senoja expertly weaves this tale through her effortless writing style and unique storytelling. This movie will provoke conversation and is certain to touch many couples facing similar challenges. Senoja and her crew shot the film in June 2011 in and around Atlanta, GA. For a short film of this type, the production is quite good, especially considering this is her 1st foray into movie-making. It is definitely a must see. Watch with someone you love!!!!!
