This a short film revolving around a twelve year old girl called Alex who finds herself a victim of bullies . It's very well meaning but you're aware that this is also a film to be shown in American schools to show the damage bullying causes . This where it fails because it doesn't really go far enough
When the story starts we see Alex in the bath holding a plastic jar of pills and instantly we think Alex might be about to take an overdose and we're shown the events that might leading up to this . I think . I say I think because it's difficult to hear what is being said by music drowning out the dialogue due to a dreadful sound mix which means the story is difficult to follow
This is a pity because you know the production team involved behind JUST BEING ME are making a valid point as to the damage bullying causes but there's not enough of a strong plot in the story telling to get the message across
