These are some A+ episodes.

These are some really good episodes. They show how far the characters have come and it's close to the season finale too. One thing I love in shows are different interactions between characters, and these display it best. It's like the Christmas episode or "Friend off", which centered on Libby and scratch.

It's also rewarding to see a different side of a character and to show more of their interests, their life, etc. That continues in the second episode. The character development of a certain character in the second episode was very rewarding, it's nice that you can see more of a character so they aren't limited being to a certain trait.

Sweet, Emotional Pair of Episodes

Warning: Spoilers
Out of House and Home represents everything I like about this show: fun character interactions, expressive and vibrant animation, good humor, and a soundtrack full of bangers. The reveal at the end caught me off guard and worked perfectly. It felt like a punch to the gut, and stellar voice work by the entire cast really made the emotional ending that much more impactful.

This continued into Home is Where the Haunt Is, which is right up there with Festival of Lights as my favorite episode of the series. The entire episode feels so real in a way: Pete not wanting to break the hard truth, Molly struggling to accept the new reality of being homeless, and even Andrea's reaction of seeing Molly's family in the woods felt so genuine and realistic. The emotional ending felt earned because we personally saw all the good the Mcgees brought to Brighton in the previous episodes, and you can look at the crowd and point out how Molly and her family helped said person (and vice versa). Also, confirming Scratch is no longer cursed is a great shift to the status quo that perfectly sets up the rest of the season.

Wow, a busman's holiday for sure

Warning: Spoilers
As someone who works in homelessness and foreclosure this episode was chilling and sad.

Look, I get it. These are very serious topics and the writers cannot be faulted for soft selling them - especially when directed at kids.

But I know too well the numbers of actual children out on the streets with a parent or legal guardian. And in hiding these very real issues in a kids show were everything is "fixed" in an ending right out of It's a Wonderful Life is understandable, but ignores all the kids who are not going to be saved by their neighbors "pitching in" and buying their house out of foreclosure.
