I am a huge fan of Noel Clark's work. He has written and directed some beautifully gritty, dark dramas. He is also a talented actor, I enjoyed him in the comedy/horror Doghouse. Unfortunately, writing a horror/sci-fi screenplay is not his strongest skill, which he proves in Storage 24. Noel Clark wrote and stars in this movie about a group of people stuck in a storage facility with an alien type creature. It took me 4 separate occasions to get through this entire film. I don't think its because it isn't good, but its execution in the genre is in the wrong direction. The movie focuses on the drama amongst its characters and the monster just happens to be caught up in the mama/papa drama. I would start watching this movie, zone out, pause it and then not come back to it for days. When I finally got to the last 30 minutes where it starts to take off, it still really never got off the ground. Like I said, its not that this is a bad film, it's just not for the horror aficionado with the depraved palate and thirst for scare much like myself. This is a scary movie that you could watch with your grandma or a small child okay maybe not a small child, but definitely your great grandma.
