Fresh off of winning her second career Grammy, Kylie Minogue has signed with UTA for live representation in the United States and Canada and acting worldwide.
The Australian singer won the best pop dance recording Grammy — a new award — earlier this month for her viral hit “Padam Padam.” The song is from her 16th studio album, Tension, which was released last year and reached the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
Minogue, 55, won her first Grammy — best dance recording — in 2004 for her groovy hit “Come Into My World.” Her hits also include “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” “The Loco-motion” and “Love at First Sight,” among others.
She has sold more than 80 million records worldwide, earned five billion streams and launched nine U.K. No. 1 albums. She’s won three Brit Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards, and is the only female artist to score a No.

The upcoming Apple TV+ competition series “My Kind of Country,” executive-produced by Kacey Musgraves and Reese Witherspoon, is not just going to be a genre-specific knockoff of “American Idol” or “The Voice,” it’s clear from a first trailer released Friday. Fostering inclusiveness of every sort looks to be as high on the agenda as finding unknown talent, as is made apparent not just from the YouTube teaser but the previously known trio of celebrity talent scouts — Jimmie Allen, Mickey Guyton and Orville Peck — plus a just-released rundown of the dozen competing aspirants.
“The people that i love in country music, they don’t look like me,” one contestant, Camille Parker, a Black woman from North Carolina, is seen as saying. “I’m ready to show people what they’ve been missing.”

Apple TV+’s new music competition series “My Kind of Country” aims to change the perception of country music in a big way — and you can see a bit of that for yourself in the show’s trailer. Watch it at the top of the page, right now.
From executive producers Reese Witherspoon and country music star Kacey Musgraves, “My Kind of Country” features musicians from around the world who’ve been invited to Nashville, where they’ll compete to win what Apple TV+ vaguely refers to as “a life-changing experience from Apple, including global exposure across the Apple TV+ and Apple Music platforms.”
The series, Witherspoon says in the trailer, was conceived of while she and Musgraves were “talking about how country music should stop limiting people, and start opening doors.” And as part of that, the contestants will be mentored by three stars who themselves don’t fit...

ITV, the British broadcaster behind hits including Love Island and The Voice UK, suffered a £156 million ($215M) blow to its earnings during the height of the coronavirus crisis, as the pandemic hit the ad market and shut down production.
ITV’s adjusted Ebita stood at £573M in the full-year of 2020, down 21% on £729M in 2019. Total group revenue dropped 16% to nearly £3.3 billion over the same period of time, according to financial results published Tuesday. Earnings per share fell 22% to 10.9 pence.
ITV CEO Carolyn McCall acknowledged the drop in performance, but said the company still outstripped forecasts. “While total revenues and profits were down our financial performance was ahead of expectations driven by a strong end to Q4 and our firm control over costs,” she said.
Ad revenue was £1.57B for the year, meaning it sunk 11% compared with 2019’s £1.76B. Having said that, ITV pointed to encouraging signs in Q4, when ad...

It’s a story that sounds like it belongs in a This American Life podcast. A young TV producer mysteriously vanishes while filming on the Gold Rush franchise for Discovery in the abandoned mines of Idaho County, ID. Nearly two years later, there remains not a shred of evidence about Terrence Woods’ whereabouts. Instead, in his absence, there is a grief-stricken family, a befuddled sheriff, and questions for a prolific UK production company ultimately co-owned by Discovery.
Woods was 27 when he went missing on October 5, 2018. Little has been written about his disappearance other than by local U.S. news outlets, but a social media campaign to unearth more information about the Maryland-born filmmaker has gained traction in recent weeks following the Black Lives Matter movement. Singer Ellie Goulding says she performs better when she's nervous.

"One of my motivations to have a bigger platform as a singer is so that I have more people to reach. Climate change has got to a critical point where we all need to be very active; we need to compensate for what's going on in certain political situations. After becoming a huge hit for Fox in the U.S. across three seasons, The Masked Singer finally landed in the UK on Saturday — and it performed well for commercial broadcaster ITV.
The celebrity singing contest, in which stars are disguised in elaborate costumes so that a panel of judges and the audience at home have to guess their identity, premiered with 5.5M viewers between 7Pm and 8.30Pm.
It was the highest-rated show of the day on any channel, peaking with 6.5M as the identity of The Butterfly was revealed, according to Barb figures provided by overnights.tv.
Based on a format originally created by Korean broadcaster Mbc and made by fledging Scottish producer Bandicoot, The Masked Singer beat the second season debut of Simon Cowell’s show The Greatest Dancer on BBC One, which was watched by 3.2M in the same slot. This was well below its first season debut of 4.7M.

CBS viewership was up a bit on Monday with its newly rejiggered comedy lineup, while ABC definitely missed the presence of Freddie Highmore. NBC topped the night in TV ratings for adults 18-49, thanks to “The Voice.” ABC, which was tops for the previous Monday in total viewers and in the target demo, was first in viewers last night but second in the demo. ABC aired a Luke Bryan special in place of its Highmore-starring freshman medical drama, “The Good Doctor.” Meanwhile, the evening marked the first Monday for CBS without the struggling Bobby Moynihan comedy “Me, Myself & I,” leading.

It's no secret that Jennifer Hudson has done it all: Academy Award winner, Grammy favorite, Broadway star, Weight Watchers spokesperson. She's sung at the Super Bowl, the White House, Michael Jackson's memorial service, and for the Pope. In 2016, she was the first female coach to win The Voice UK. This fall, it's no surprise to see Hudson turn her chair around on The Voice Us. Sitting aside stock judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton along with an enthusiastic Miley Cyrus (who returns after coaching in season 11), Hudson has the potential to draw and impress viewers even though the competition had the least amount for a season opener since the show started.

Jennifer is the reigning champ of The Voice UK, and she's in it to win it. The coaches are the most competitive yet, as talent convenes from around the country to vie for the title of The Voice.
After a lot of hype for season 13 and the perfunctory introductions of the judges -- like we don't know them all by now -- the show jumps right in with performances. Mixed between coach shenanigans and good-natured bickering, the singing starts right way.

The Voice coaches are taking a journey to the past.
In a new promo for season 13 of the singing competition, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus and newcomer Jennifer Hudson portrayed tough as nails cops in the 1970s-inspired spot packed with punches, nunchucks and even a clumsy mechanic (played by host Carson Daly).
Levine, 38, slammed onto the scene (literally) as the smooth, thick-haired cop while 24-year-old Cyrus wasn’t afraid to tackle the bad guys in a pair of red, clunky heels.
Ever the goofball, Shelton, 41, proved to be a man of many disguises — namely a heavily-bearded savant, a nerdy cop and even a gorilla.

A bunch of “Prison Break” viewers have escaped from Fox.
Last night, the revived series lost 27 percent of its key 18-49 demo rating from the prior week’s premiere. The overall audience loss week over week was 16 percent.
Fox’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” returned soft on Tuesday, an evening without much to write home about. Almost by default — and mostly due to “The Voice” — NBC won the main demographic. CBS topped total viewers despite airing all reruns.
NBC was first in ratings with a 1.0 rating/4 share in the advertiser-coveted.
