The series 10 finale

Although listed here as part of Series 11, this episode actually was meant to be part of series 10. It doesn't belong in Series 11, purely because it's good! And there was very little good about Series 11.

I enjoyed this episode, it felt like a top quality 'My Family' episode that could have come from any point in the shows long run. It's daft, it's silly, and there's some great lines in there.

It goes to show also that 'My Family' was still capable of moments of brilliance, if only more spread out thinly across a series. Series 10 actually wasn't too bad. It's a shame it went downhill so much afterwards.

Writes not paying attention to their old writing

Once again to get a laugh we ignore a previous declared point , the last time we saw Mark he was married. Hence janies flap about Kenzo calling Marks wife "New Mummy" yet there is no mention of his ex wife or are we just supposed to have forgotten this. Its no wonder that reports said that Robert lindsay and Zoe Wannermaker had enough of the writing by this point, as they the writers had given up on keeping anything previously said or done as law.

Also having Roger try to propose when his previous interactions are non existent is ridiculous. I remember watching this show at the beginning of its run and because I was looking for boxsets to watch on BBC i-player I thought I'd give it another go. SERIOUSLY WISHING I HAD GIVEN UP EARLIER!!!!
