Director Timothy Reynard passed out after demonstrating a stunt to actor Tom Burton during the re-enactment of Operation Chariot.
The film was shot entirely on location except for one small green screen shot for the war scenes.
The film's title comes from a quote by Franklin P. Jones: "bravery is being the only one who knows you're afraid".
The Commune of Mesquer-Quimiac shut down the beach at Lansaria for a night for the first scenes in the film to be shot.
Some of the film's consultants include Maj. Gen. Corran Purdon MC and Col. Tom Sherman - two of the men who actually fought in the Saint Nazaire Raid.
