I enjoyed very much this journey in Marseille: so many nice landscapes (Archipel de Frioul, les, Calanques, Cassis and the beaches) and s many interesting activities.
Marseille with it's 2.600 years of history is the oldest town of France: we discover the world of the petanque: in the neighborhood of Les Andounes the petanque ground is open is 6 days a weeek and the people enjoy to be together.
Besides Julen Joneau (called also El Julio), an illustrator enjoys the vocabulary of the Marseille people and is selling humoristic T-shirts.
At the terrace of the Rowing Club of Marseille the chef Christian Ernst offers to his visitors his bouillabaisse. Also the chef Christian Qui has his own way to prepare bouillabaise only with Whiting (merling).
Besides at l'Estaque the people enjoy chichis and panisses.
I enjoyed also the zoom about th Calanques; in Callelongue Sylvie Airaud and Thierry Garcia are organizing hiking tours, they climb "Lees Escaliers des Géants and arrive at the Pas de la Demie-Lune (223 meters above sea level) where the visitors enjoy a beautiful sight over the seaside.
The Calanques are also a marine reserve: Olivier Bianchiman and Solène Basthard-Bogain are diving to observe the growth of the coral reef that has been reintroduced in the sea bed.
We discover also the inn of the Fontasse managed by Erik Buschan from the tourists are hiking in the Calanques.
We discover also the "Train de la côte Bleue (32 kilometers, 18 viaducs and 23 tunnels):there Michelle Derkasparian is organizing hiking tours: we see the little port of the Redonne and later Carry-le-Rouet , abeach where people practice wind surfing.
Then we visit the Vieux-Port: Alexandre and Nadine travel with their boat to the Archipelago of Frioul and enjoy swimming in the sea.
We discover also the Vallon des Auffes with Maëlle Fouilland who enjoys to walk through neighborhood and to meet Christian Guarino one of last fishermen of this place.
Then we go to the northern part of Marseille: Julie and Dalila have created a hiking path through the nature (a former agricultural belt of Marseille) : now there are guesthouses: Agnès and Louis are established in the Vallon of Maillan since 1993 and receive visitors in their guesthouse, besides they are beekeepers and manages 40 beehives.
In another part (15th arrondissement) a clay pit has been transformed into a prc with an equestrian center.
At the beach of the Corbières Brahim Timricht (Association Le Grand Bleu) is teaching swimming to young boys and girls (only 1/3 of the children of the northern neighborhood know how to swim).
Beside I enjoyed the encounters of Ismaël with Mathias Ben Achour (the bike tour to L'Estaque, the Orange Vélodrome) , the walk through the old town), with Romain Ghafar , the Afghani cook, with with Norbert Apicella (the mountain guide, the cave and the climbing of a cliff), with Laurent Jayne in Cassis), with Myriam Elabard (the Vieux-Port and the sailboat tour), with Paquerette Demotes-Mairand and Georges Marcos (Hospital Carolini) and with Sidney, the graffiti artist in the neighborhood of the Panier: very nice encounters with very kind French men and women.
