- A man in Wisconsin is approached by a woman who offers to buy him a drink. He then passes out and wakes up in Hawaii with blood on his clothes and a gun in his pocket. So he contacts Magnum and Higgins and hires them to find out what happened to him. They think he was drugged so that he could be influenced into doing things. Eventually bits and pieces come back to him and they are not pleasant. TG is informed Cade's grandmother found out about him and has come to take him. - Magnum is finally ready to admit his romantic feelings for Higgins and tries asking if she would spend the spare day with him when they are interrupted when Greg Nettles contacts them. He was drugged in a bar in his Wisconsin home town and woke up 2 days later on a Hawaiian beach, with someone else blood over him. Helping him restore Greg's memory, Magnum, Higgins and HPD discover his recently murdered grandfather participated in a successful overseas diamond heist and moved to Oahu adopting an alias, and his partner's Belgian daughter abducted Greg in order to retrieve the huge loot. Cade's grandmother Donna Jensen visits, having learned of his estranged mother's death and the boy's existence, and T.C. agrees to arrange an uncomfortable meeting with Cade, who feels there's no room for stranger kin in his happy Hawaiian life, yet soon accepts T.C. arranging a visit to the mainland to meet his cousins. Higgins admits her romantic feelings for Magnum to her psychiatrist, who counsels overcoming her fear of jeopardizing their friendship and partnership.—KGF Vissers
