And now we hear that Kumar Mangat has apparently purchased the all India distribution rights of Rustom for Rs. 40 cr. As for the film, Rustom that stars Akshay Kumar playing the role of the India Naval officer Rustom Pavri is apparently based on the K M Nanavati case which had created headlines decades back. When WrestleMania 32 was first announced for At&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, it was supposed to be the grandest wrestling show of all time. With a configuration that could support over 80,000 spectators, not only would the venue let WWE draw its legitimate largest crowd ever, but the company would be able to announce a kayfabe attendance of over 100,000. While the brand value of WrestleMania is a huge draw by itself, in order to achieve such a high number, nothing could be left to chance.
The company immediately started crafting plans for a supercard to outdo all others, a lineup filled with dream matches and once-in-a-lifetime confrontations. Every big name from the past who was still capable of competing was contacted – even Shawn Michaels, who very publicly retired following a loss to The Undertaker at WrestleMania Xxvi. Neeraj Pandey who made a hattrick with Baby is all set for action packed period drama with Akshay Kumar starrer Rustom. While the former announced about the film a few months ago, now, we hear that he has partnered with Anil Ambani's Reliance Entertainment and has launched Plan C studio. To be precise, Plan C studio is more of a 50-50 joint venture of Reliance Entertainment and Friday Filmworks wherein the two, Anil and Neeraj have decided to join hands for films. According to Neeraj, talks were on for over three months but it was only recently that they decided to sign the Mou (Memorandum of Understanding). Along with Akshay Kumar's Rustom that will be produced under the Plan C banner, the other films include Ghalib Danger, a movie adaptation of Neeraj Pandey's book by the same name and the films directed by Shivam Nair, Chandra Prakash Dwivedi,...

Dutch writer-director Max Porcelijn has become a great favorite here at Twitch, his blend of dark humor, rich characters and sly subversion of genre principles inviting comparison to the likes of the Coen Brothers. His debut feature, Plan C, won a pair of Dutch Golden Calf Awards - the local equivalent of the Oscars - along with a pair of Next Wave prizes at Fantastic Fest and he follows that up now with The Glorious Works Of G.F. Zwaen, freshly announced to World Premiere at Fantastic Fest. It's the late 1990s and business is booming. Booming, at least, for everyone other than Gerard Zwaen. But this is how Zwaen wants it. This is how things should be. For Zwaen is a writer, and a true...

The producer of Dick Maas' horror comedy Sint is taking a turn into very different territory with upcoming comedy The Masters but the results look as though they should prove every bit as successful as the earlier holiday splatter picture. The Masters pairs a quartet of Dutch comedians - keen eyed readers will recognize the lead of Max Parcelijn's Plan C in there - as men dealing (or not dealing) with middle age to varying degrees of success who ultimately decide to get their old hip hop band back together. Yes, this is familiar ground but director Ruud Schuurman appears to handle the material with style and the principal cast (Mimoun Oaissa, Ruben van der Meer, Willie Wartaal, Guido Pollemans) are all immensely likeable.Check out the...

Sony Entertainment CEO Michael Lynton, in an interview with CNN journalist Fareed Zakaria, said that "the president, the press and the public are mistaken" in their belief that Sony had bowed to the demands of cyber hackers by pulling "The Interview" from distribution before the film even premiered. Lynton said "We have not given in. And we have not backed down" in its efforts to find a way to get the film released. However, Lynton placed the blame squarely on theater exhibitors, saying the company could not find a major chain that would agree to show the film. He said that thus far, efforts to find partners who would stream the film or offer it as an on demand title have also not yielded any success. It has been a trying time for WWE recently. Since the launch of the WWE Network a lot has happened. Daniel Bryan won the WWE World Title, got injured and was forced to forfeit the belt. Cena won the belt soon afterwards. The Shield split up, Roman Reigns began his ascension to the top of WWE and Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose began a feud with one another. Bray Wyatt was squashed by John Cena in a crappy feud, and then Chris Jericho returned to WWE, beating Wyatt in his return PPV match. There were a lot of things wrong with WWE television, and still are, with the product becoming stale and the feuds becoming either too long or rehashed too many times. So, we head in to SummerSlam, for the sixth consecutive year held in Los Angeles, California; and a card that isn’t exactly captivating on paper, though...

It was quite the week we had in professional wrestling. We watched Damien Sandow dress up as LeBron James for the second time (are they already out of ideas?), witnessed Stephanie McMahon finally go to jail, and saw Plan C go into effect with the return of Brock Lesnar. The rumor is Plan D was Mordecai coming back to battle Cena, and Plan E just may have been Simon Dean. Speaking of Cena, congratulations to him on winning his 14th straight televised match this week, which he hasn’t done since 2007. It’s comforting to know that despite all the trouble in the world, there’s one man on the planet who is impervious to being held on the ground for three seconds.
Sure, there was probably a good thing or two that happened as well. Off the top of my head, I’ll say Daniel Bryan thwarting two burglars,...

The main event of WWE SummerSlam is now official: John Cena will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Brock Lensar at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on August 17th.
It’s a match that has been rumored for months now, but wasn’t discussed by WWE in public because they wanted to keep Lesnar’s return a surprise. In Raw’s opening segment on Monday, Triple H said that he guaran-damn-teed a new WWE Champion at SummerSlam. We didn’t know who the challenger would be, but we found out in the main event. It appeared as if Hunter’s first choice was Randy Orton. However, Roman Reigns attacked him and they brawled to the backstage area likely to set up a SummerSlam match between these two. That’s when Paul Heyman showed up to tell Triple H that Plan A (Randy Orton) wasn’t working...

The news has been confirmed by PWInsider and backs up the previous news items about Brock Lesnar challenging John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam on August 17 in Los Angeles.
While Lesnar is expected to be on Raw with Paul Heyman by his side, John Cena wont be there. Monday Night Raw teased the idea that Brock Lesnar could be a factor at this Sunday’s Battleground. The show also told the story that Seth Rollins injured his knee in the Raw main event. According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, that was just storyline, Rollins wasn’t injured.
In putting the Lesnar tease and the kayfabe Rollins injury together, could this be an angle to give Brock Lesnar a shock return at Battleground? Earlier on Raw the commentators referenced that Paul Heyman had been missing from the show all night, he hadn’t been around to mentor Cesaro in his match. Later that night, Triple H finally found Heyman. The manager then told Hunter that he had been biding his time, saying that he had a “Plan C” if the Authority required it.
This was an interesting exchange and an obvious foreshadowing of Brock Lesnar.

Chelsea are preparing to launch a third bid of £28 million for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, according to the Express.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho has not given up on signing the 27-year-old, despite admitting for the first time yesterday that he has a “plan B and C”.
The Portuguese manager said of Rooney:
“We will keep trying because, when the market is open, official bids are not forbidden. You try because nobody forbids you to try.
“We have conditions to try to improve our team with one more player. But we do have a Plan B and a Plan C.”
Chelsea have been chasing Rooney for much of the summer ever since news emerged that he had become unsettled at Old Trafford following a difficult season under now-retired manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Senior prom never lives up to expectations.
You think you have the perfect dress... and then a classmate shows up in something similar. You think you're gonna get some... and then your date passes out drunk. You think you can flip your loved one's humanity switch back on... only for her to attempt multiple murders and for the event to be overtaken by a deranged ancient witch on a mission.
It's the same old story at high schools around the country.
"Pictures of You" wasn't an in-your-face, non-stop-action, thrill-a-minute return episode.
It was actually light on blood and gore and surprises and didn't even conclude on an especially intriguing cliffhanger. Sorry, but seeing Silas' scarred face didn't nudge me any closer to the edge of my seat.
But the hour did bring into focus many relationships, from Elena's nearly destroyed ones with Bonnie and Caroline to Rebekah's burgeoning one with...

"The Vampire Diaries" highly anticipated senior prom episode, "Pictures of You," is a little different from the dance episodes we've seen before. The shadow of Jeremy's death still looms over Mystic Falls High, and it's even perpatuated by the prom theme: Pictures of You. Photos of the characters in happier times -- including some fun, never-before-seen cast pics -- are projected all over the ballroom, but instead of being uplifting, it's pretty tragic.
Stefan and Damon decide to spend the dance trying to remind Elena of why emotions are good, in order to get her to turn her sire bond back on. Damon talks to her about her professed love for him, while Stefan tries... a more hands-on approach. Meanwhile, Bonnie finds a way to enjoy the prom even under the shadow of grief, but she's in much more danger than anyone realizes. Rebekah finally gets to attend a dance,...

‘The Vampire Diaries’ is finally back from hiatus April 18, and this clip gives us three more reasons to get excited: Damon. Stefan. Football.
With Elena (Nina Dobrev) more out-of-control than ever, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) have an impossible task ahead of them on the April 18 episode of The Vampire Diaries. And what’s the best way for two bros to clear their heads and brainstorm? According to this new clip, obtained exclusively by HollywoodLife.com, the answer is simple: a friendly came of catch!
Now for the dilemma: How are they going to make “emotion-less vampire” Elena actually want the cure they’re so desperately looking for? After putting their beautiful heads together, Damon and Stefan come up with three separate plans — although Plan B is actually just to stall Elena until they come up with a Plan C, so technically, they only have one plan up their collective sleeve.

Unfortunately, the livestream failed, so Bieber decided to upload a video of himself playing new music instead. When that didn't work, either, it appears that he went with Plan C: Distract the children with shirtlessness.
Yes, as his video upload speed slowed to a crawl, Bieber expressed his frustration via half-naked selfie, showing off the tattoos on his clavicle and his bling.

The Norwegians may have landed at Fantastic Fest with world premieres of the television series Hellfjord and the documentary The Exorcist in the 21st Century, as well as the North American premiere of Øystein Karlsen's feature directorial debut Fuck Up, but it was the Dutch who left a lasting impression with their film offerings featured in this year's "No Clogs or Tulips" Dutch spotlight.
Several filmmakers and cast members of films premiering at this year's fest traveled to Austin from the Netherlands, including Fantastic Fest 2011 Best Director awardwinner Steffen Haars (New Kids Nitro) -- seen above second from left with director/writer Arne Toonen (Black Out), fellow New Kids Nitro cast members Wesley Van Gaalen and Huub Smit and writer/director Max Porcelijn (Plan C). New Kids Nitro was awarded the Jury Prize for Best Film in the 2012 Fantastic Fest Awards. See more photos after the jump.

Fantastic Fest is almost at its end, which means it’s of course time for the one and only Fantastic Awards!
Now I could waste your time for a few paragraphs on the apparent ridiculousness of holding an Award Ceremony at the half-way point of a festival, but instead I’m going to save my tirades for more important matters, and just assume that Festival Organizers worldwide know what they’re doing. What I Will give you though is a list of this years Award Winners!
As you look through the list of winners, you may want to take note of a few key films and add them to your “To Screen” list. One of them is Adrian Garcia Bogliano’s homage to 70’s horror film’s Here Comes The Devil, which became the first film in Fantastic Fest history to completely Sweep the Horror Features...

Police work has rarely looked more like an ordinary office job than it does in the wryly amusing Plan C, where the desks are stuffed side by side in cramped spaces, bureaucracy reigns, and bald, middle-aged Ronald has lost his mojo. Ronald (Ruben van der Meer) is suffering from a stifling case of mid-life ennui. His ex-wife has remarried a successful author, his young son is become more distant, he has fallen behind on his police reports, and his leisure time is devoted to poker -- which he claims is not gambling, but a skill. It's a skill he's been sadly lacking for nearly a year, though, and, as a result, his Chinese loan shark has lost all patience over a $10,000 debt. Desperate for...
