Learn more- With Ralph Macchio well down the leader board, it would take a big move in the votes to make for an upset. Will there be one?
To the results: The first two couples whose recaps we seeing are Hines & Kym and Kirstie & Maks. The highlights: Kym tells Hines his butt looks nice in white pants, and Maks knocks Kirstie to the floor with a roundhouse kick during their instant-dance practice. (OK, it wasn't intentional, but it's worth looking up).
The first couple definitely in the semifinals is Hines & Kym. Kirstie & Maks are also going to be dancing in the semifinals.
DanceCenter: Jerry Rice and Kenny Mayne are back with Len Goodman to break down the couples. First segment highlights: Kirstie's age listed as "Timeless," and a segment showing Maks as "The Bachelor" in the Ukrainian version. Kenny also has some fun with Romeo's repetitive claims about dancing "for the kids" and "for the troops" and showing kids that "there's no limits."
In the second segment, they refer to Ralph as Ralph "Sweep the Leg" Maccchio. Len says Hines might be the best "footballer" the show has had. Jerry doesn't take kindly to this. Chelsea's bio graphic includes that she "still believes in the tooth fairy."
Be our guest: Season 11's Michael Bolton returns to the ballroom to perform his new single, "I'm Not Ready" with "Australian sensation" Delta Goodrem.
Later, we learn the story of the Tuita brothers, three siblings who have used dance to overcome the loss of their father, who also perform.
Delta Goodrem fills in for Adele with less than an hour of rehearsal, after Adele said she was having trouble with her upper register, to perform Carole King's "(You Make Me Feel Like a) Natural Woman." She stumbles over some lyrics, but comes off like a trooper for stepping in.
Later in the show, Adele does take the stage to sing the prime-time TV debut of her song, "Rolling in the Deep."
Back to the results: Ralph's recap shows that he was in some serious pain throughout the night.
The first couple in jeopardy is Ralph & Karina. The next couple also in jeopardy is Romeo & Chelsie. Chelsea & Mark are safe to dance in the semifinals.
The couple coming just short of the semifinals is Romeo & Chelsie.
