Another forgettable Dior short Warning: Spoilers
This is one of the last Dior spots starring Marion Cotillard. And while, I love her as an actress, the contents of these spot have been really underwhelming in my opinion. This one is a perfect example how they go for visual artistry, but make a truly forgettable story, which is also the case for the others. Cotillard is probably too good an actress for these. The only smart thing here is probably casting McKellen or I should say Gandalf the Grey for this spot promoting the color gray. McKellen is maybe also the biggest name in these short films except Cotillard (and Lynch). There is also not much more about this color in here. Around minute 4, it looked actually promising, but then the end was a letdown once again. The writer and director of this short film may be a Golden Globe nominee, but he is really more of an actor than of a filmmaker and that shows here as well. Not recommended.
