better than 1920 and even MOST of Indian horror movies
labzy_169217 May 2012
I'm not gonna lie...but I had little expectation from this movie...the actors were all new and the story looked similar to that of 1920 and movies of the (EXORCISM) theme... The movie was quite good....actually better than 1920 ....the acting could have been better(specially female lead(Mira)) but I understand ,all the actors were new and it was a job well done at last. The movie had some scares and amazing scenes ...but the best part of the movie was a beautiful love story amidst a disturbing horror tale.In fact, the strength and dominance of the love story overshadows the horror element at some occasions. This movie however, didn't forget to add a little Indian touch to it despite the fact that the director tried to make it look pretty Americanised. If 1920 was a classy horror movie....this was maybe classier and the 3D did nothing but adding positives to the movie. The soundtracks were awesome and the cinematography was classy like 1920. horror element-7/10 acting-5/10 script-8/10 direction-6/10 soundtrack-7/10 IN short, don't miss it...:)

Decent movie.
vivekchandra00714 May 2011
It is a nice attempt by Vikram Bhatt. Good acting skills shown by lead actors. Story is different from regular horror movies and no beating about the bush is there. The central part of the movie is the emotion and pain of the actress. Thats is heard superbly in the track 'Sau baras guzre'. There aren't any superb extremely scary horror scenes. I feel the emotional part of the movie took over the horror part and scenes are loaded with emotions, if watched in true sense of a movie without any prior expectations related to the element of scare or horror. Overall, its a one-time watch movie. Enjoy India's first stereoscopic 3D horror flick. This is my personal opinion about the movie. NOM to anyone.

Scary in 3D
enigmaticmaniac12 May 2011
First of all if you've seen earlier Vikram Bhatt's flicks and you liked it, you will like it as well. The story remains almost on the same theme as earlier but this times it come with the 3d effect. The movie visually is very appealing with all the make ups and effects. It lacks on the verge on sound effects. Being the first stereoscopic horror movie it achieves it and manages to thrill the audience. It has some scary moments and the 3d effect enhances them on a vast scale. The romantic side is well stuffed in. The 3d effects are commendable. Overall I would recommend at least one watch for the great effort. If you love the horror genre you would like it.

Very Good movie.... True Horror..... Superb acting...... World's best direction.... Awesum music
prashant_dhama20017 November 2011
2 weeks ago a channel aired Haunted movie and I was waiting as I saw 1920 just a day back and found it quite interesting though so my expectations were a bit higher than 1920.

I watched this movie and found it beyond the expectations. Beautiful location, sets, weather keeps you glued to your seat and that's what you need at initial. As there was no well known face so it gets that edge which is required in horror flick. The movie flows in sweet manner and changes the track wisely. You know everything about situations. This is quality of director that he explains everything to the audience so that nobody annoys you "Hey, what was that, How?...Why?" and you give annoyed looks with anger to the fellow as he/she interrupts and never let you focus on.

Every actor did a great job even small role guys did their best jobs and you compare everyone as equal.

Movie goes back to 1936 and here is the best part. Old age clothes and British culture revolves in front of your eyes and you are ready to feel deep inside the movie.

The ghost is very good and situations are really scary. This movie never gets offbeat and gives you true feel of horror.

Music is awesome that's why I am listening it for past 3 weeks over and over.

If you have plan for your weekend to sit at home it's better to watch movie and take nap because you were in a beautiful and successful dream which was India's first 3D Stereographic movie.

Best Regards,

Bollywood Screams in Haunted 3D
pbrahmapurkar6 May 2011
Vikram Bhatt's fascination for horror continues, even as the Indian film industry -- and the Desi viewer -- desperately awaits the first authentic bone-chiller from Bollywood. Is Haunted the answer to the chill hunters' prayers?

Not completely. And that's because the story is dog-eared and done-to- death. Almost every horror film has the wailing ghost of a nubile young maiden who sends outs desperate SOSs to anyone who dares to enter her domain. And don't we know why she's wailing! Still, we won't reveal the secret, which in any case, is hardly a secret....

But if the film works -- and it works quite well -- is only because of the special effects of the film. Experiencing the horror in 3D is indeed a novel experience for the viewer, specially since it is smartly done. Each time the ghosts lunge out at you, stick out their tongue or flail their limbs, you jump back in your seat. And yes, there are a lot of ghosts, performing a lot of ghastly acrobatics. There's even a snake sticking out its venom at you and a hurtling brick, almost missing your nose....Great fun.

Other than that, there is the scenic beauty (Pravin Bhatt's cinematography), a hummable music score (Chirantan Bhatt) and the eye for detail (the film moves back and forth in time) which keeps the hours ticking. Performance-wise, the director has opted for a bunch of new actors to pitch in as the lead pair. Sadly, there's nothing extraordinary about them and they hardly leave an impact. It's the veterans, like Achint Kaur and Arif Zakaria who end up giving you the goosebumps. And they do it in adequate measure.

Starts of Well... ends quite badly
lesloy12 September 2012
Warning: Spoilers
The movie was something I got off a list checking on top horror movies and this movie was in the top 10. Never heard of the movie though. So gave a shot and watched it recently. Unfortunately couldn't watch in 3D but looking at the scares and everything I am sure the 3D part of it would be well worth. Movie starts a little different ie no family, no friends, no lovers just one guy coming in to sell a property. The story started slow but rose to one stage that made me going THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER. But the ending disappointed me with your really bad sequence of graphics action - you could literally say the movie was shot inside a studio.

VERDICT: The quality of the story mind blowing but I just hope the director shouldn't have rushed into finishing the movie. Wish had seen the movie in 3D and maybe my review may have been different.

Much Better than expected !!!!
demolition-him4 September 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Actually to be honest, this probably is the best Bollywood horror to date as I mostly find Bollywood Horror to be lacking substance or good acting or any originality. Not that this is completely original but bits & pieces added together gives it a fresh appeal. However, it has its own pros & cons:

Pros: 1. Good Characterisation & acting by lead actor. I found it fresh that the character Rehan was not exactly scared of ghosts but was open to confrontation to the point that he even challenged the ghost.

2. Time travel theme. Well what can I say .. I just love time travel fantasy.

3. Pretty good overall narrative & direction.

4. Good Background score.

5. Actually better than quite a bit of Hollywood Horror movies

Cons: 1.Charsi Baba or Fakir. His acting was really bad. Why all fakirs/person who seems to know what is going on in Bollywood horror has to act so weird is beyond me. Also, the movie is indirectly sending message that smoking is good for health as his magical puffs were actually healing the person or sending his back in time. Talk about weird. Seems to me somebody in script department was puffing the magical dragon of his own.

2. I am not exactly a fan of Exorcist type movies where there has be intervention of God to save the soul/skin. But I understand that not everybody is as daring as Japanese film makers who can make movies reeking of pure evil with an anti-climax ala Ringu or Ju-On 3.Christians might find this movie offensive while Muslims will be proud. This is because in the movies Church Priest recommended them to go to Sufi (Muslim Priest) who can get rid of these things. A church priest will rather recommend an exorcist from their own religion. Lets assume for a minute that he may have recommended someone from Muslim religion as there is none nearby, the fact that evil spirit's presence can be felt in church hallowed grounds & in front of Cross & even when cross was stabbed into Demon possessed Margaret they could just stop it temporarily. However, when demon possessed Margaret's one foot was inside Muslim Holy shrine "Dargah" it was immediately purged/exorcised/destroyed. Seems to me that the movie blatantly shows that one religion is far stronger than other where one religions saint has more power than other religion's God !!!

4. Songs ... While the songs are good but in all honesty the songs took away all the element of horror from the movie.

These are just the few points that stood out glaringly for me. I would still say that movie was overall quite good & worth a watch especially if you are not Christian as they will be offended.

Great turning point in Indian Horror
Zeus-pro28 May 2011
Vikram Bhatt as once again proved his excellent work by making another horror movie in all different style. Just to add a pinch of spice, this time its 3D. I was very impressed my Vikram Bhatt's previous work in 1920 and Raaz, and this he as even proved to be better. The performance of Mimoh Chakraborty and Tia Bajpai is up to the mark. Even though few concepts in the movie makes you think how can it be possible, like- Ghost are powerful after 3am, How do Rehan goes to past(1936)?, i will take it as granted. The movie as many chilling effects and visuals to be admired. Overall, a must watchable and more over Enjoyable too.. Cheers..

Scary & Entertaining...
namashi_16 May 2011
Vikram Bhatt's 'Haunted 3D', is Horror at its best! Being the first stereoscopic film of India, this scary tale, offers scary moments all through and holds you with it's interesting screenplay. Fear, indeed goes 3D!

'Haunted 3D' tells the story of Rehan, played by Mahaakshay, a real-estate broker, who comes to sell an ancient haunted mansion in a secluded hill-station, but later finds out there is more to this mansion than expected.

Amin Hajee's Writing in the First-Hour is superb! The haunting the protagonist goes through, throw chills down your spine & keeps your interest alive. In the second hour, an unexpected twist happens and only gathers it's momentum and reaches to a long, yet good culmination.

Vikram Bhatt is a Master when it comes to Making Horror Flicks, and 'Haunted 3D' proves that fact yet again. This one's a terrific horror flick, that is eerie, creepy & interesting at the same time. The 3D effects are quite good.

Cinematography is top-notch. Editing is fine. Music is wonderful, each song has a feel to it.

Performance-Wise: Mahaakshay, earlier known as Mimoh, who debuted in 'Jimmy' a few years back, shows vast improvement in here. As the Main Hero, the lad delivers a sincere performance from start to end. Debutant Tia Bajpai is quite good. Achint Kaur leaves a lasting impression. Arif Zakaria is fantastic! The actor manages to cause a terror within you each time he appears on screen! Mohan Kapoor is fair. Sanjay Sharma is passable.

On the whole, 'Haunted 3D' is a must watch for those who love Horror Flicks!

Underrated Horror Movie of Indian Cinema Industry.
tanzimalfardin23 June 2023
This movie is far better than 1920 horror series. It has a story build up. Horror scenes will give you the feel of creepiness. Unfortunately, Character writing was average. But, not bad. Drama potion was perfect, Horror potion was perfect. Background musics were brilliant. Totally, it's a complete package for rainy day horror movie. You can watch this twice or thrice. Because, it has that materials. This movie needs more appreciation. Bollywood should make this type of horror movie with much effort. This all about this movie. I know it's not so well written. But, hope you guys will understand what I wanted to mean.

Worst movie ever seen, 3d is wasted
surajkumarr8 May 2011
I watched this movie in Eros cinema hall in Mumbai near church gate I watched this just because, it being first 3d horror movie A pathetic movie, forget horror, it never ever utilized the effect of 3d, you will never forgive director for making you wear the spec ts for 2 and half hours. The worst part is the supposed horrifying scenes are greeted with loud laugh in the cinema hall. I'm not sure whether director was trying to make an Indian version of 'scary movie'. But neither it was scaring nor entertaining.

One of the worst films i ever seen, I set the mood and gone for a late night last show, now i regret spending money and time on this piece of @#$t, don't ever bother downloading the movie from torrent sites, you will be wasting your bandwidth.

there are no horrifying scene the 3d is just for name sake, don't go for it. I'm writing this review at night 1 'O' clock back from the show.

my rating for this movie is -5, absolutely avoidable

Nice movie
tzk_world14 May 2011
Another Vikram Bhatt magic horror Flick after 1920,Shaapit & Raaz.

But the surprising thing is Mimoh (Mithun's son)'s acting. The girl also acted well and the ghost also acted well.

Some potion of movie(mainly makeup and horror activities) is inspired from Exorcist(which is common for every horror movie). But its not a bad thing..Because Exorcist is the benchmark.

The story is interesting.A ghost can not safe herself from another ghost.

Music is good.Direction is top notch.Camera work is also good.

Now waiting 4 Vikram Bhatt'r next horror Flick-Raaz 3 :D

My rating for this movie 9/10

Must watch this movie

Im confused?
nshntvyas7 August 2012
The story is very nice but it doesn't have anything scary. And I watched it in 2d. The songs are very great. Specially the last one at the end of the movie because it describes the situation beautifully. But the background score however doesn't create any fear or tension needed to scare you. It sounds more like opera eheh. The actors did a good job but the screaming was too much. It started to be comic in nature. But the end does confuse you. Is Meera Rehans mother?. Because of what she says at the end?. Is there a time loop?. Will it be explained in the second movie?. Or the director missed this piece of information?. So Im giving 6.5/10 because of the story and music only.

Yawn-ted 3D
ravenus7 May 2011
Having seen this movie on a 3D screen yesterday, my remarks: If you've seen one Vikram Bhatt horror movie, you've pretty much seen them all. The man is just shuffling and recycling elements from his earlier films, which weren't great to start with. As expected, the horror elements never get particularly nasty, and an abundance of songs and treacly romantic elements bring the pace to molasses slow. Mimoh or Mahakshay as he now likes to call himself should be given an award for the longest period an actor has carried a single expression...in this case, the entire movie. As a fellow movie-watcher pointed out, if there is anything at all notable about this film, it's that a South Indian character, an Aiyar, is for the first time presented as a raging villain instead of plain comic relief. The 3D does give a sense of depth to most of the visuals, but very little use of it is made in the story and there are all too few of the "throw things at the screen" elements that make a cheesy horror film in 3D fun.

Excellent movie with a great story and ending
johnmaco30 July 2011
Wow. Can't imagine that I just watched a Bollywood horror flick that is absolutely amazing and flawless.

Hats off to the writer (Amin Hajee) and director (Vikram Bhatt). I loved 1920 and considered it to the best Indian horror movie but after watching Haunted I feel this one is slightly better with a solid writing and a very engrossing screenplay.

The acting by all the actors was top class. Songs and background score were fantastic. Those who enjoy horror stuff should not miss this one.

I hope Vikram Bhatt and camp would stick to the same formula of doing non-vulgar and non-erotic stuff (1920, Shaapit and Haunted) and I am sure they will succeed next time as well.

I am going to watch Haunted a few more times.

Typical Vikram Bhatt style horror in 3D
silvan-desouza18 September 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Vikram Bhatt's first horror film Raaz was a huge hit and then after flops he returned with 1920, Shaapit Haunted 3D was the first horror film in stereoscopic 3D As per me the first film in 3D was Chota Chethan(1996) but as per media it is Haunted. The film has the typical hangover of Vikram Bhatt's films this time with something different about time travel thatz all We have the same mix of blind faith and paranormal activities. The film takes place in a mansion(predictabily) where Mahaakshay(earlier named Mimoh in Jimmy his debut film) comes to see and then what happens. After HAWA(2003) here we have a ghost raping the heroine and then the second half shows how Mahaakshay goes back and tries to save her. There are some scary scenes but some are predictable like the chandelliers falling down, Doors open, screeching noises.etc The film does gather steam towards the end and alls well till we reach the dargah though it is little difficult to understand why the ghost gets so vulnerable suddenly often taking long time to attack? but such things are forgiven in horror films. Post the dargah the film drags 30 mins more and we are thrown in some well and dingy area where the heroine again is attacked and finally all ends well. There are some flaws with the film like the hero and heroine suddenly breaking into a song when life is at stake? Also some scenes are unintentionally funny

Direction by Vikram Bhatt is good in many scenes Music is okay 3D effects are good better then many Hindi films

Mahaakshay(name changed after Jimmy failure) seems to have improved after his terrible debut, but still has to improve more He has to loosen up more, work on his weight and expressions His voice is dubbed by Vikram Bhatt(mostly in his films he dubs for actors) Tia Bajpai in her debut gives a good performance Achint Kaur is superb, Mohan Kapoor, Arif Jackeria are good in their roles The actor playing sufi baba is good, while Prachi Shah(seen in kyunki saas) is superb

3d well done but plot missing
mustafa-saify14 May 2011
plot completely predictable and prosaic more of drama than horror. oddly placed romantic scenes which hardly make any sense.. for dialogues you will scratch your head because there are too stereotypical. please let's not get into acting as it was totally juvenile as i anticipated. mimo had only one expression throughout movie and the actress whatever her name don't even know how to scream when u see a ghost.. her screams (which were not at all chilling) agitated throughout.

only thing good and deserved 5/10 was some of the well choreographed horror scenes sudden evil popping out was scary though not at all disturbing..

a let down from vikram bhatt because i was expecting lot..

Terrific Hindi Horror
chiranjib1236 May 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Its a superb horror movie. I think Raaz and 1920 which are also Directed by Vikram Bhatt are very good.Shapit was an average horror. But Haunted is the best in lot. It is chilling an scary. The atmosphere in the big old haunted house is creepy.Special effects and sound effects are great and cinematography is beautiful.Very good use of silence which we usually see in other Asian and Hollywood movies. There are some jump scenes which are also very effective and all the actors give good performance.

Downside of this film I feel some unnecessary extra songs which actually drag the the film a little.

Maybe Some Spoiler:-- BEGIN:--

The story is bit different and its time traveling concept in second half (END OF SPOILER) may not be liked by some people but its not bad and very entertaining.

All in all its a very good horror film and all Horror fans should watch this film to get some good chills and genuine scares.

WORST horror movie! Don't waste your money and time.
saleemsak14 May 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I was going to rate it "1" but thought I should be a bit generous for the work behind the movie else I totally discourage making such movies.

Let me start with the dessert. The 3D is good and that's just it. I was enjoying ONLY that part of it.

From the opening of the movie, the story was very predictable and usual. In Hindi - "Wahi ghisa phita kahaani aur dialogue!"

Coming out with such silly movies and predictable dialogue left most of the viewers in the theater laughing. I have seen good direction and enjoyed better horror in Indian TV (horror/thriller)serials.

Few scenes were scary but this was not because of good direction. It was just those sounds that caught us by surprise which you could get scared by watching similar videos made by amateurs on youtube. My money was totally wasted.

Much Better than Expected. Satisfaction Guaranteed.
nikhilgujar14 May 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Some reviews which I found on internet are misleading which says negative about movie. As the movie has Vikram Bhats tag attached, it's his one of the best horror films compared to earlier "1920" and "Shaapit". I loved the storyline, it's something different. 3D effects are up-to the mark what Indian movies can expect. Also like Vikram Bhat's earlier movies, this too take you to the pre-independence era. There are many HORROR n CHILLING scenes which will scare you along with weird scream scenes. Better leading actor and actress should have been casted, but anyways new actor and actress too have performed well. In brief, this film has all the elements what Indian MASALA horror film should consist of. I recommend this movie for ADULTS who love horror movies.

Did not haunt me.
himdesai4 August 2011
Let me clarify in the beginning itself, the movie is a disaster. After all 3 D gimmicks and many more publicity stunts, the film is nothing more than a headache.

Performance from the lead looks wooden.Tia (or Twinkle or whatever) is a little better than Mimoh (or Mahakshay or whatever).Story and screenplay (the only good thing) is adapted from the English movie 'The Entity'.

Yes there are some good shots as well.Like the one in which a dead caretaker character wreaks much havoc like leaping out of a forest to attack the protagonists, and walking sideways down a tree to scare them. But rather than that, horror looks like the slapstick comedy.

3D effect is observant in some scenes only and so there was no need to make it in 3D!

The otherwise good songs creates an irritation in the movie. You cant expect some dance sequence before the climax scene of the movie.

The movie is a one time watch in 3D and strictly avoidable in 2D.

Just made to encash the 3D + Horror combination and nothing else.
bobbysing23 May 2011
If you are a die-hard fan of the Horror genre and have seen the famous classic scary films coming from the World Cinema, then HAUNTED might be a kind of amateur attempt for you. And in case you haven't seen all those brilliant films and are only familiar with the Ramsay kind of Horror Cinema famous in our part of the world, even then HAUNTED is not going to impress or entertain you greatly with its monotonous kind of content and execution.

Vikram Bhatt, the director, after tasting marginal success with his last few horror films, sticks to the genre and comes up with another from his stable in 3D. But in simple words, it is a film which has been made with the sole motive of taking the maximum advantage of its Horror + 3D combination and has got nothing more than the routine, seen before stuff to offer its viewers. The film starts off in a laid back manner and the pace doesn't pick up even after its initial hour. So the viewer doesn't really feel the excitement and thrill of watching a horror movie in its first half. Post intermission, it falls back on the routine path, adding a weird kind of plot of moving back into the time-space (some 80 years back), which actually falls flat in absence of an electrifying execution.

In fact the time-travel remains the weakest part of the movie as it is neither explained properly to the viewer nor treated with the right kind of thrill and competence. For instance, the hero easily finds his places to live and spend days in, after moving back in time to the year 1936 and nobody cares who he is and from where has he come with a completely different kind of clothes, looks and style. Moreover he also reaches back in the present, just like that in the end without any proper build up and clarification.

Further, as usual HAUNTED is haunted by the ideas and visuals earlier seen in many other horror movies, which once again put it in the category of inspired movies. Starting with the same ages old plot of a haunted mansion, the film has at-least one novel plot of having two spirits in the palace instead of one. There is an evil spirit of a Piano teacher in the house who has captured another spirit of his own girl- student, whom he used to love. Now for 80 long years the spirit of the girl is being tortured by the other spirit in the house and therefore the palace has become a haunted one from many decades.

Moving ahead, the script once again has a psychic healer who is called upon but runs away looking at the powerful evil. Then there is a Sufi saint who gives the real life saving instructions to the couple giving them a bottle of pure water. There also happens to be a Father of the Holy Church who does his own prayers to save the couple but gets killed by the spirit too. As per its plot based on one sided love, the film also has scenes of an invisible spirit raping the girl, as earlier seen in "THE ENTITY" and our own version of it called "HAWA" featuring Tabu. And on top of all, the climax once again has a scary but blessed well (reminding you of the cult flick "RINGU") as if nowadays no horror movie can be made without showing a dark black well in its end which saves everyone from the evil.

So content wise, I didn't find HAUNTED having anything new in its 2.15 hours of lengthy duration. With a crispier edit of less than 2 hours, it could have been an OK one time watch. Performance wise too, I didn't find anyone great other than a fine act by Tia who has got both talent and on screen presence visible on the celluloid. In fact I liked the girl and her cute smile even in her early days of T.V performances and would love to see her soon in some reputed projects. Mahaakshay tries too hard and he simply reminds me of Dev Anands's son who also tried hard in films but later decided to quit. My best wishes are with Mahaakshay but he seriously needs to give it a second thought for sure. Achint Kaur is good and so is Arif Zakaria in their haunting roles. The musical score in the film is pretty weak and actually songs should not have been there in the first place. Even the background score doesn't transform you into a scary world, which happens to be one of the most important requirements of a horror project.

However, technically the film has been worked upon, which clearly shows and its 3D effects are well supported by its first rate Cinematography. But still I found the 3D scenes, which at once reach out to you, quite less than what was being expected. Though the sudden attacks of spirits does scare you at times but its not a hugely scary movie at all even in its 3D avatar.

In the end, I would only like to say that as being publicized, HAUNTED is not the first Hindi 3D horror movie made in Bollywood. More than 25 years back we had a Ramsay film called "SAAMRI" released in 3D in the year 1985. And to be very straight, I still remember that we all (then students) immensely enjoyed the movie with its purely magical, scary scenes in 3D and a likable background score, much - much more than the current HAUNTED. So now the decision to watch it or not, is all yours.

"Haunts your senses with excellent 3-D effect"
afsalthodupuzha8 May 2011
Haunted is a spine chilling 3-D extravaganza offered by Vikram Bhatt. The director has created another enjoyable horror flick after movies like raaz,1920 etc and has an excellent combination of horror and technical perfection. The movie does entertain the viewers, but the storyline is seen many a time before and may result in a less critical acclaim for it.The 2.15 hour long movie is a visual treat for the mass viewers who look for entertainment and not recommended for the critics who look for story inside the story and so.

Synopsis::Rehan,a real-estate broker comes to sell an haunted mansion which has a sympathetic story behind it and tries to unlock the mystery there.

Performances::Mahakshay Chakraborthy(earlier Mimoh Chakraborthy) has certainly grown up in his acting skills from his debut movie Jimmy, but can improve more.Tia Bajpai(Sa re ga ma pa challenge fame) has done her role with full commitment and requires appreciation.Arif Zakaria does another good job as he have always done before.

Music by Chirantan Bhatt is absolutely brilliant and amazing(my personal favorite album of 2011) and the songs are really soothing to the ears. All the songs ranging from a hearty ""Tum ho mera pyar " by K.K to an ear-haunting Sau baras by Tia Bajpai are excellently crafted and deserves a 9/10.

Some +ves::An excellent background score and hummable music.*The entertaining Full-3d effects, which is a novel experience for Indian viewers, who could witness it only in Avatar before.*Some good horror scenes, which make you jump off the seats.*Cinematography by Praveen Bhatt which is catchy for the eyes of the viewers.

Some -ves::The similarity of plot to films like Hawa.*The lengthy narration of the movie.*Some scenes in the first half, which are too graphic.

Verdict::Haunted is a visual treat for the mass viewers, who goes to the cinema hall to get entertainment only. The plot may be old and seen before, but is sure to scare you and is paisa vasool.

This movie is Not scary!!

This is the second movie I'm reviewing after 'Ghajini'. Reason is the same...Movie was so Fu****g bad that I decided to review it as a public service.

First of all, lets not discredit India's first attempt at a 3D movie. The movie has good depth but how much would you pay to see which character is what distance from the screen.I don't think there are any 'WOW' 3D scenes in the movie and the 3D jitters at times. And if you're the fan of stuff coming out of screen and missing your face... Choose a theater with a really big screen and sit closer to it.In a regular 3D theater no stuff hits your face.Seriously if your going for amazing 3D don't waste your money on this one.

And I'm not the only one....this movie is Not scary. All audience was laughing as its really funny at times and the Hero with his cute expressions makes it funnier. And one more thing he dances really well.

The script is very cheesy but except for the lead male and female character rest of the cast pulls it off.But the Ghost makeup is really good. The only reason its an adult movie is because it is an ADULT movie.....And in a very awkward way.Even if you're with your girlfriend you will cringe at times. The villain is really really horny...even his ghost...I mean Come on, its a ghost.. and all he can think of is "busty ladies". Makeup was really good but some loud sound effects are totally unnecessary at times. You know the stupid horror in which the director checks your reflexes by popping something on screen with a loud thud... yeah there is a lot of it here. But

One thing I must say... a big drawback with virtually all horror movies is that the director pulls a lot of strings and when summing up the movie there are big plot holes. This movie is different not because its genius but "the happily ever after" part is actually satisfying.

Now the big question. The reason your are here. Who should go see this movie? 1) who gets a free ticket. 2) who wants to see how different people and objects look in 3D and definitely NOT those who want to see special effects in 3D. 3) who worked with Mr.Bhatt in making this movie.

One personal note to Mr.Bhatt "Please keep religion/religions out of the movies because its really offensive to some people!!"
