Happy Tears
m-rugen2 September 2022
It wasn't until I went to write this review that I discovered it was renewed for a fourth season. I operated under the assumption throughout this entire season, and most notably this episode, that season 3 would be its last.

Just as I did S3E1, I cried happy tears the entire time. The love that Jason and Nikki have for each other and every one around them is just so inspiring and so endearing. This really is one of the best under the radar shows I've ever seen.

If this were in fact the series finale, I couldn't think of a better way to end it. But truthfully, I'm overjoyed at the fact there is a season 4 on the way, someday.

I will forever cherish these characters and I hope you all feel the same way.

As someone who doesn't want to get married or have children, this is the closest I will ever get or want to get. I love everything about this show, and I think I always will.

What a Triumph - Great Finale!
Bellatext2 September 2022
Greatly anticipating the outcome for Nikki and Jason, and Princess and Tyler, of whether they will officially be a family by the end of the season finale seemed an obvious opportunity to maybe end up with a boring and predictable episode - if it were not well done. That was so not the case here, however!

I really enjoyed how they brought the season end together and hinted about some content for season 4, with some transition stuff set up, while of course other people and things were left unsaid and remain wide open on their future roles.

In this episode, the maturing new parent-pair of this season and the extended sets of parents/grandparents, the kids, and a few other regulars are one and all in some part or other of this episode. And the stories packed into this exciting episode of course fit within their usual quirky and funny, and serious selves, by turns. All of which of course means some fun surprises are in store for us viewers!! But as befits the more serious story and its subject matter even in a comedy, they've also been rounded out as more responsible than irresponsible of course. This finale would not be the same impact, without that having taken place over this season, as they moved through the foster/adoption 'minefield' of experiences.

As this show excelled in many of this season's episodes, I smiled, I chuckled, I full-on laughed, I held my breath, I sighed, I cried, and I might have shrieked a couple times even. I was wholly entertained, as this show does so well, overall!

Once again, the writers, directors and producers, camera and costuming folks, editing, and the actors clearly make an amazing team, because it all works so incredibly well to keep me riveted for the duration. Grabbed me right away and didn't let go until the very end, you might say, hitting all the right notes to satisfy some outstanding questions and lead into the unknown future.

The bar is now really so much higher though, for next season, so how will they do It, after hitting it out of the park as they did with this season and especially this finale? I will be ready to find out, when season 4 comes out, that's for sure.

Warning: Spoilers
There are not many shows out there that can me to nearly cry and do it in a happy way, but Trying is absolutely one of those shows, doing it far too many times. They did it again here as the gang had the wedding of their dreams, one unlike any other and then prevailed in winning the court case to retain Tyler and Princess.

Not every scene or joke works, but this program has found a comedic voice that absolutely works. It is easy to watch and you laugh throughout, but also get the notion that there are few things more important than family these days.

Can't wait to see the next journey in season 4.

Perfect Ending To A Near-Perfect Show
zvxcpt20 September 2023
I love so many shows on Apple TV+, but was somehow late to the party for "Trying." All for the best, though, because I didn't have to wait for new episodes to arrive each week and was able to comfortably watch two shows a day for the past few weeks, loving every minute of the journey.

There are so many good things to talk about with Trying, but the show really begins and ends with Esther Smith and Rafe Spall, the two incredible lead actors, who do such a wonderful job portraying a loving couple who share all of life's ups, downs, and everything in between. It's amazing the give and take they share through all their trials and tribulations, bringing out the best in each other.

All of the supporting actors are perfectly cast. It's impossible to imagine anyone playing a role differently than the actors who brought these characters to life - just a tremendous cast from top to bottom.

As far as the last episode of what may or may not be the series finale, "The End Of The Beginning" wraps up the show on a heartwarming high, while leaving room for a possible season four. You will laugh, cry, catch your breath more times than you can count, and be very thankful that Apple TV+ gave the green light to such a very wonderful show.

Watch and enjoy! Your life will be better because of it!

Renewed for the 4th season?
Laqshayaroraofficial2 September 2022
I think they told us before that season 3 will be the last and it would be have been better because Season 3 was perfect and way better than season 1 and 2. They could have ended on a strong note. So a bit disappointed because I really don't think there was a need for another season as there is not much left to show.

Overall, this episode is great, full of fun and surprises. Happy ending. I love Jen's character and the actress who plays it and would have loved if her character had got a better ending in season 3. Love the cast but I really think Nikki's character should wear better dresses.

A must watch show. Hope they keep improving!
