Military Terminology:
- Fort Huachuca - located in Arizona, less than 100 miles outside of Tucson and less than 20 miles from the Mexican border, it houses the Army's Training School for Military Intelligence as well as the Communications Security Logistics Activity, which provisions the service with secure communication equipment
- Fort Drum - located in Upstate New York, 50 miles from the Canadian Border, Home of the US Army's 10th Mountain Division, which specializes in warfare on alpine terrain
- JSOC - Joint Special Operations Command meaning it sits between more than one branch of the service, also known as "interservice", which in turn falls under US Special Operations Command, or SOCOM, a "major command" of the US military. With any joint mission, a JSOC officer is named commander of any joint operation, who provides centralized control and everyone has to do what he say. JSOC only commands Special Missions Units (SMU) aka Tier One aka Elite Special Forces such as US Navy's Naval Special Warfare Development Group (DEVGRU) or SEAL (SEa Air Land) Team Six, and US Army's 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment - Delta, or Combat Applications Group (Delta Force, or just "The Unit"). These SMUs are called in for Counterterrorism Operations. SOCOM ensures the infrastructure needed to support JSOC.
- Overwatch - The supervision of one unit or vehicle by another while the supervised unit is firing or moving
