Having been involved in the production of this film my opinion may seem biased, but I urge anyone who has an appreciation for independent filmmaking, especially those who understand the hard work that goes into completing a film, to take a look at Division. This project began as a short film idea that evolved into something much larger as writer Sashia R. Dumont and director Paul Robinson realized the scale of the story they wanted to tell. The film is precisely shot and meticulously edited and contains a powerful performance by someone who has a firm grasp of the material they are trying to present. Robinson is a talented filmmaker who works well with what he has and truly shines in delivering an engaging story with impressive visuals that surpass the film's budgetary constraints. At the same time, Dumont as a writer provides a glimpse at a believable not-so-distant future with characters of varying motivations as well as with a complicated emotional portrayal of someone forced to live in this future. Division is an example of what can be done by people who have a genuine passion for film and storytelling and the motivation to share that passion with an audience.
