- A short film about a young male and female emerging into adulthood. They are very much in love, and imagine an idyllic future together. In fact, so keen are they to discover whether they spend their entire lives together that the young man has gone forward in time to find out. The film begins on his return when he must recount to his girlfriend for better or worse what their future has in store. The film explores what it would be like in the midst of youth to learn the course of your life to come told to you from the lips of your first love, in the time it takes to drink a cup of tea.—Jessica McDermott
- Inside a cafe, it is the end of the working day and a waitress (Kerry Murdoch) is clearing up. Sally (Annie MacLeod) is the only remaining customer, although slightly intimidated by the waitress she does not leave, she is waiting for Stuart (Tommy J Brennan). When he arrives the two embrace with the passion and melodrama of young lovers. The waitress interrupts this intimate moment and ungraciously takes his order.
Their intimate conversation begins with more melodrama. Stuart has just returned from the future, where he went to discover if they spend their entire lives together. It is this snapshot of certainty that they wanted, and it leaves Sally reeling in idealistic bliss. But Stuart is now party to everything that lies before them, and has to work out how to relay this to his girlfriend. She probes him with questions, and is delighted by the souvenirs he has brought her; when she runs to the bathroom to try on her future wedding dress, the weight of foreboding knowledge upon Stuarts shoulders begins to show through. Sitting alone at the table he awaits her return.
Back and out of the wedding dress her questions begin to ensue at a fiercer rate, but the answers become less agreeable, and in spite of her boyfriends reassurances she feels an anxious desire to take it all back.
