- Lilith: [in a doctor's uniform] Everyone wants to believe that they are going to live forever - that that tremor in their heart, the few extra pounds added over the holidays, and the labored breathing after a morning run are all perfectly normal.
- [chuckles]
- Lilith: But what happens when you find out they're not? What happens when you realize the life that you've been leading has an expiration date? What would you do to change that? Would you make the same choice Logan Cale's about to make? And at what price?
- Lilith: They say home is where the heart is, and unfortunately, for Logan Cale, this was all too true, proving you can truly buy anything for the right price. And if there's a moral to tonight's story and you find yourself sick and bedridden and might need to resort to desperate measures for a cure, I make this very humble suggestion: get a second opinion.
- Lindsey: [Panting] No cameras. We can talk.
- Logan Cale: All of Doug's stuff is gone, like he was never even here.
- Lindsey: Yeah. Grace and Doug.
- [voice breaking]
- Lindsey: And that's not the first to go missing. Two new patients arrived today -- an old man and an old woman. Every time a patient arrives, one of us goes home. And I'm afraid. What if it's us this time?
- Logan Cale: I think you're being paranoid, Linds.
- Lindsey: Doug and I, we once snuck a peek at our charts back when we were first curious what the treatment was.
- Logan Cale: What was in them?
- Lindsey: Mine was all about my lungs. And Doug, his was all about his kidneys. We're supposed to have porphyria. So why was there nothing about neuropathy, hemoglobin counts? We have to get out of this clinic.
- Logan Cale: What about the treatments?
- Lindsey: I'm willing to take my chances. And you should, too. Please... please come with me.
- [kisses Logan on the cheek]
- Lindsey: Um... I've always wanted to do that since the first day you came here. Sorry. This is crazy. Promise me... promise me that we're gonna get out of here together.
- [Logan nods his head]
