Honest hard look at silence of victims of abuse.

Hard Silence is a look at the hard reality of abuse that happens in homes that we don't often hear about. I am not sure why the other reviewer was not able to make the inference.

Sexual abuse between a parent and child is not porn. This movie removed all soft layers that are often applied when discussing or showing sexual abuse. Not until we face it head on and see it with our eyes wide open will maybe we as a society begin to deal with it. Sexual abuse and the shame that goes with it, particularly within a family, often is silent by it victims. I felt the director was addressing this and making it more aware to his audience by not sugar coating it, showing it for what it is. As a woman, I respect his decision to be honest.

I like movies that make me think beyond the moment of viewing. Movies that stay with me and create an awareness to my world that perhaps I had no considered before. This is my idea of qualities of a great film. Movies are meant to tell stories and only the great ones stay with you and become a part of you. I had the honor and pleasure of seeing this film at Cinequest this past year and look forward to seeing what this Director will do next.

Soft porn

Hard Silence 2011 (Silencio Fuerte)

I don't get it. What is so important about this story line, it lacks everything that a good story needs.

Saw this at a friends house...nice soft porn with hot chicks...acting was terrible and content was lacking any real story. It seemed like the director wanted to get a fantasy made and paid for. I checked out the director's other shorts and they are the same and very lame.

The actual filming quality was good and editing needed to be a bit more refined.

If you want to see a film that is more like a soft porn fantasy then you should check this out.
