IMHO

This episode gave me full body chills, butterflies in my stomach, anxiety, hope and made me cry several times. THIS is good television, television that renders intense emotions in the best way possible. The acting, the imagery, the dialogue, the editing - it all comes together in such harmony and leaves you baffled at how affected you become.

As I have been glued to the screen ever since the first season of My Brilliant Friend was released, I'm heavily invested in all the different characters, but especially Elena. She manages to be easily to relate to and inspirational at the same time. Whenever you fear that she is going to make the wrong call, cave, and fulfil all of the tropes that you have seen in tv-shows a thousand times before, she doesn't. She's inconsistent and fluid when it comes to her decision making and direction. Her unpredictability is one of the many things that make her an exciting and magnetic character.

Words can't express how my emotions about this 3rd season finally!!

Essentially I feel you are either over the top obsessed with any and all "my brilliant friend" HBO adaptation of Elena Ferrantes book series (never read) or haven't had the pleasure of watching!?I am the former, and have watched and rewatched seasons 1&2 and I will with 3. It's is literally my favorite TV show of all time, and I luv TV so that's saying a lot!

I can't wait fourth and final season!!!

Nino is a bad person...

Warning: Spoilers
...but nevertheless we want Elena to be with him so much! She has always been so obsessed with him that we NEED them to be together even though we know he is bad news.

Let's see how it ends, but I'm sure it won't be a happy ending.

Leaves me wanting more, and soon!

The final mirror scene in this S3 finale intrigued me and left me desperate to know what will happen to Elena in the years before she reaches that age. Will she regret her decision to go with Nino?

Disappointed that Lila was not in much of S3 but can we just give a big cheer to the little girls playing Elena and Pietro's daughters? Particularly Dede, who, being older, had the most lines, but they were so natural and lovely and their relationship with Elena seemed completely real.

Some stronger violence in S3, particularly the brutal assault and rape of two characters plus the murder of the Solara matriarch.

From the very first episode of this drama it has been wonderful to watch, with fantastic acting, a beautiful cinematography and eye for period detail, great costumes, locations and music - a total delight.

I have not read the books so I hope that we will get to see the story continue right to its conclusion in further episodes.

And is the best moment of the series, and yes, im talking about the mirror scene- it tells all the greatness of this books without words. But overall, this season was kind of meh, because the casting of the 2 major roles.

What a dimwitted fake
hoops-5343611 September 2022
We have been glued to every episode but this one was a dud. Elena claims in her writing that she has figured out men- that they make women as they want. Ok, so having that epiphany, one would think she has figured out that Nino is a bad person, only looking for a good lay, and he constantly uses women and tosses them out when he spots one he thinks is better.

Even Lila gives Elena a final warning but, true to her analysis of men and showing her weaknesses, she deserts her daughters and runs off with scumbag.

We saw this coming but, even when you expect it, it shows what a fake wannabe Elena truly is.

Yawn...where is Lila?

I thought this story was called "My Brilliant Friend" and tell the story of everlasting friendship between Lenu and Lila which goes back all the way to their early childhood but this entire third season has been all about Lenu, Lenu and Lenu. In the 8 episodes in the third season, Lila was either completely absent or made a very brief appearance in 4. She was barely there in the last 4 episodes at all.

The storyline of Lenu is too boring and not interesting enough without Lila. I don't know why they decided to suddenly get rid of Lila and made the whole story about Lenu. Maybe while they are at it, they should also rename the show from "My Brilliant Friend" to "Adventures and Mishaps of Lenu".

In early seasons Lila was one of the two main characters of this show and now she's not even a side character. She appears for like 30-40 seconds in each episode if at all.

I will not be coming back for the fourth season. Lenu isn't that interesting without Lila.
