Dumb Fun is still fun!
kevinmerchant9524 March 2022
This show is a one sitting binge and it's super awkward but super fun! Of course it's over the top, and the protagonist, Ray is non realistically dumb at times, but that's the whole point of comedy. I loved the absurd humor of the show that kept me laughing most of the times. Even if I wasn't laughing I was smiling just watching how random and absurd the things that keep happening are. The way it concludes is sort of satisfying too, so if it's cancelled I wouldn't mind.

Jim Sarbh's Wiz is written really well and he delivers dialogues so effortlessly that I never minded them cutting to Wiz's keychain or poster (or statue). Vihaan Samat's Ray and Wiz's chemistry is pretty good too (although they are the same person in the show). Rahul Bose and Suchitra Pillai as Ray's parent's are an absolute delight to watch! I hope Rahul Bose does more of such roles.

The target audience for this show is probably everyone of Ray's age (~25) or younger (that is, later millennials - Gen Z) so when you see IMDb flooded with comments of it not being "relatable" you have to ask yourself if it is really for you. I, being from this age group had a blast watching it.

Chanced upon this one and got hooked up in an instant! The story takes us into the life of a socially awkward boy who is in search of a partner. The show is funny. The episodes are short and well written. The episodes will keep you hooked. I finished the first season in one go. The story doesn't become tiring at any point! You would find certain jokes too funny. Something fresh!

It's a fun show.

It's breezy, it's fun. It's a fast paced show. Loved the guy portraying Ray. Goofy, oddball, socially awkward and way too confused. The supporting cast was nice too. Rahul Nair's done a good job creating this breezy show. Netflix & chill it was.

A breezy show!
mayankshukla14044 July 2022
Loved Eternally Confused And Eager For Love streaming on Netflix India.

A breezy show about a confused guy looking for a relationship. Vihaan Samat aptly plays the self loathing and sabotaging lead.

The voice over by Jim Sarbh playing the imaginary wizard who guides Vihaan is simply superb!

Didn't realise the time while watching the show. It's a binge watch that's relatable, light and funny.

Rest of the cast comprising of Rahul Bose, Suchitra Pillai & Ankur Rathee is lovely!

Eager for something more
ephsilonnot11 September 2023
The show follows a confused boy/man's internal monologue dealing with most basic social interactions in his life. The show had a lot of inert potential, a lot of which has been explored but not enough. Although the dialogues were witty and the anxiousness although far fetched but relatable due to the inner monologue and convincing acting.

Rahul Bose and Suchitra Pillai are phenomenal actors yet their potential was heavily underused in the story. At times the conversation with Wiz tilted towards schizophrenic tendencies but it was never addressed. Also Varun (Ankur Rathee) had Bi-tendencies in the beginning of the story which was never hinted or addressed to in the latter episodes.

Overall the show is perfect for a quick binge and laughter, with a little relatability to a certain niche but mostly far fetched in its own way (which is not necessarily bad)

An amazing show will not be liked by Tarak Mehta fans
adityasubbu20 March 2022
The show is very well written. Using wiz as the inner voice is fun throughout & very much entertaining. It's unfortunate how people just hate something that isn't their taste. It's a great & refreshing watch , has hilarious moments.

Hilarious Relatable Comedy!
jjacob-672049 April 2022
American-born Indian here.. I'm not too surprised that most people from India are writing bad reviews here but I have to say I really enjoyed it and laughed my ass off! Definitely relatable for me despite the clear exaggeration at times but then again.. it was a COMEDY! Can't wait for season 2.

Fun Wiz voiceover
pdrahul226 March 2022
Extremely witty voiceover from Jim Sarbh makes this series quite funny. The protagonist Ray was lacking emotions in his acting. However, little bits from Rahul Bose also cracked me up. It was a fun sitcom style story set in India. Can't wait for the Season 2 specially for Wiz!

could have popped but didnt
backnblack-0612323 March 2022
This series had everything it needed to be a funny adult series from a India prospective but the ridiculous writing killed it and that happens early, so many funny lines and so many beautiful women who can actually act but they kept doubling down on stupid and nothing ever matures, you would think someone would step in and tell the writer to make a change.

Typical pretentious show...
frsqfb19 March 2022
For some reason Netflix "Indian" shows seem to think swearing and speaking with a fake accent is what the Indian audience is looking for...The scenarios played out are at the other end of the fake spectrum when you compare them with the cliched crap doled out by Ekta Kapoor. Fake modern vs fake traditional 🙄...Korean shows are better...

A pure waste of time, barely a one time watch
srutimisra19 March 2022
Series: Eternally Confused and Eager for Love Season: 1 Episodes: 8 Duration: 20 minutes long IMDb: 6.4/10

"Eternally Confused and Eager for Love" is a romantic comedy web series written & directed by Rahul Nair. It was released yesterday on Netflix, co-produced by Zoya Akhtar & Farhan Akhtar. Despite the presence of such creative heads, Rahul Bose, Suchitra Pillai, Vihaan Samat are on lead roles.

The story revolves around a 25-year-old boy who lives in Mumbai with his parents, is going through a quarter-life crisis. At some point, he wants to be in a stable relationship that will lead to a happy marriage. On the other side, he becomes desperate to get laid. He's introvert in nature and simultaneously he talks with his imaginary friend, Wiz considered as the voice inside his head.

This series had a lot of chances to shine but failed miserably. It feels like I am watching an American high school drama. I couldn't connect myself with any character at all. If they can portray the character of Vihaan as a high-school boy then the whole story could have been meaningful and engaging. In these 8 episodes, you will only see people meeting in cafeterias, house parties & clubs. The sole attraction of the series is The most attractive part of the series is an amazing voice performance by Jim Sarbh.

It left the audience at a cliffhanger. So, there might be another season coming. I won't suggest this series to anyone because I didn't find it relatable. To my opinion, "Eternally Confused and Eager for Love" is barely a one-time watch series.

Finally a new topic. Loved it
rexrithvik18 March 2022
I was waiting for something like this to come up and it finally did.

I don't think anyone so far has shown this side clearly and I'm glad they finally tapped on this topic. I did read a lot of reviews here that did have a down rating. Let's introduce this character too into this world shall we? Not everyone is you. I'm sure there haters but I surly loved it.

Can't wait for the next season.

Btw this is my first ever review 👍

I literally started and could not stop until episode 8-season 2?! I mean it was that good. Well written, fun, funny and entertaining. I absolutely enjoyed every second of it. Sad when I realized it was only 8 episodes! WE WANT MORE!

Jim Sarbh as Wiz is just super annoying !
cool_jojo_00724 March 2022
It didn't seem like a subconscious voice talking to Ray, it seemed like Jim was trying a stand-up comedy routine. Ended up skipping forward Ray and Wiz's conversations after a time because they were just getting too loud and annoying with Wiz cracking age old sitcom one liners. He really turned into a mediocre joke machine on cocaine after the pilot episode.

Even the role played by Rahul Bose is so overtly melodramatic. The background music telling that THIS IS COMEDY doesn't help either. It could have been nuanced and subtle. Instead it ends up being loud and trying too hard to be funny at times.

TEN-STAR!
vihangadulaj9719 March 2022
It was too fun to watch. Netflix India stepped up the game there. Don't miss this unique tale. Loved the guy portraying Ray. Goofy, oddball, socially awkward and way too confused. The supporting cast was nice too.

From Excel and Tiger baby and Netflix we have a smashing young adult Indian show at last.

Can't believe

Sameer lodaya

Can't believe this type of series is from Farhan Zoya and Netflix

There is nothing in this series to watch from the very first episode you will realise that we cannot go further..major part of the series I have watched in fast forward mode..the stats itself did know what to do and where the script is going..headless topic like the 25 year boy in a metro city is virgin and people are behind him to lose it

Pure waste of time.

Very entertaining. The wiz character is truly funny and eternally confused and eager for love is a great binger show. We did not see that end coming. A must watch for everyone, ray is a fun character too alongside the parents Bose shines.

ONE OF THE BEST FROM INDIAN NETFLIX
massacre-4158631 March 2022
I LOVED this show. I have never enjoyed a Indian Romantic comedy series like this in my life ( I'm 23).. The Casting was PERFECTLY ON POINT ... Actors did marvelous job with their role.. It really shows an "awkward early twenties" of a regular man's life in this generation. Unlike Bollywood they made this series so relatable. ( In Bollywood the universe surrounds around the protagonist.. which is superiorly cringe and unrealistic af if you ask me) Kudos to the Director and all the Crew members for making this Unique..

Eternally Confused and Eager To Be Cool
indraniaray20 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Didn't mind the 1st episode though the Voice Over thing began to grate (I like Jim Sarbh but the "cool" verbosity really was annoying after the first few times). From Episode 2 onwards the series lost me. Also Rahul Bose plays what's fast looking like a stock Excel character and Suchitra Pillai was being Suchitra Pillai. The execution felt more small town than SoBo except the male lead's home. And in the age of right swipe hitting clumsily on girls at pubs is so day before Finally guys can someone please write better office scenes?! There are some fun moments but mostly predictable. Netflix India keeps churning out substandard content but given who the producers are - expected better.

Last week i watched the trailer and I just thought this is me.

Binged the entire thing today and I have to say I really love this show it's much relatable and funny.

Jim Sarbh is hilarious and overpowers the entire cast even he's just voice acting.

In last ep when Ray let's go is so fun to watch. I was smiling crazy for those 3 minutes.
