This is more of a warning and not a review imo (hence why I've rated it 0 stars), as do not try searching for it on BBC iPlayer (and I reckon it's been banned from future repeat screenings on BBC 1 as well, so if you want to watch it, you will have to buy the five Christmas specials DVD as it's on there on disc 2) as it's been banned due to the appearance of Rolf Harris, however the scenes with Paul Bown (who I also thought was good in his roles in Coronation Street and the film The Damned United) are good tho.

One last Christmas with the Harpers
studioAT29 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The BBC in their wisdom (cough cough) towards the end of 'My Family's' run decided to put two obviously separate festive episodes together to make one. Perhaps due to the busy scheduling over the Christmas period, who knows.
'Mary Christmas' from 2010 is one such example.
The first part is a lot of fun, with a nice reversal of festive cheer (Ben is feeling festive for once, Susan in contrast is not) and there's some great scenes along the way.
I also liked the video messages for Nick scenes, they were a nice reminder of the much missed character.
The second half is bigger and broader in terms of comedy, which the show does well with. Unfortunately it's unlikely to air again due to the appearance of Rolf Harris in it.
A good final festive outing for the Harpers overall.
