"Deep Water Horizon" is a 5-minute short film written and directed by DeWitt Patterson. Apparently, many people, including one other reviewer, have mistake this for the recent Mark Wahlberg film, but like I said this one here may have a similar title and similar subject, but it is still something entirely different. It is a little animated movie, very brief, the first half features fish and sea water in bright colors before the disaster happens in the second half. Given the fact, that this is apparently (almost) a one-man work, it's not that bad overall. Visually and acoustically, there are some good moments, but still without knowing the context, I probably would not have made the connection and it does not really do justice to the complex and complicated matter. I think seeing it once is enough, maybe even one time too many.
