- Sandra walks into the changing room where a fighter is drying off after a shower. We only see him naked above the waist - she saw more. Gerry asks if she saw anything she liked.

- The murder victim is a boxer and we see one of his fights in slow motion, leading to a doctor entering the ring, and the end of his opponent's career. He was hospitalised in intensive care as a result. The UCOS team have differing views on boxing, some finding it appealing and others appalling, brutal and barbaric. It leads to a heated argument. Brian argues with Esther about it too. Brian compares boxing to dog fighting and bear baiting. Boxers are seen sparring and fighting on several occasions during this episode.
- We are told of a man battering another man senseless because he spat in his face.
- Brian throws two punches at Gerry, which miss. Gerry doesn't miss, punching Brian once in the face.
- An inmate attacks Jack. He is restrained by two guards who slam his head into the table three times.
- We are told of a man cutting another during a gang fight. He received two knife wounds to his left buttock.
- A woman is seen with a bruised face and a cut lip. Her husband has hit her.
- While investigating, police find a large cache of guns of various types and sizes.
- A man becomes violent while being interviewed by police, throwing furniture and threatening to break another man's jaw.

- The team enter a pub to gain access to the gym above. There are only a small number of patrons in the pub who each have a beer in front of them.
- Brian smells alcohol on the breath of a man they are interviewing. The man later goes on a bender and is "paralytic" when hit by a bus and hospitalised.
- Gerry decides to celebrate the result in the case by having a pint with Strickland.
