Racing history at its best
mal-9441011 February 2022
A great documentary about the origin of racing. It has the origins of running moonshine and outrunning the law. It has the true stories from the men who lived the life and became the men who started what we know today as "modified racing". Coming from the viewpoint of the actual men who did the deed, One hell of a story. Well done and well played.

Not many good biographies of old time racing like this exist
cole-jim30 October 2023
Old time, grass roots, dirt track bio of southern race car drivers that dont get the kudos they deserve. Great history lessons for all of us racers that never heard of these great drivers and all they did in their long careers. I love the stories like these. I wish more movies like this get made soon, before the stories are lost forever, and everyone who knew what happened are gone forever. This is very interesting to me, to hear all the stories from friends, fans, family members, and from other racers. To me, the older history of racing seems more interesting than the more recent, maybe its because they did it the hard way. No sponsors, no money, and no support. Just hard work, skill, and lots of heart for the love of racing.

A look at Chatanooga's regional legends of auto racing
conniezastoupil12 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It's In The Blood: The origins of Chatanooga racing is an extremely enjoyable documentary profiling some of the sport's earliest stalwart drivers! Chatanooga was home to many local legends who nearly became national legends. In the absence of major backing these determined men often cobbled together spare parts to create their cars and support their passion I was fascinated to learn that often early auto racing evolved from running moonshine. It's logical though since moonshine runners were the most daring drivers and had the fastest muscle cars of the time.

It's an historical glimpse of men driven by a passion to succeed in a sport that would one day become an international event loved by many!
