- The Spectre of Shadow Canyon, supposedly the ghost of a lost hiker who behaves like a banshee, could be pretty scary to some viewers.
- Multiple jumpscares in which an axe wielding maniac jumps out and chases them. This is an intense scene which may be scary to sensitive viewers.
- Scary jumpscare in which a shark like creature grabs the main characters leg and gnashes at it trying to bite it off.

- The gang falls off of a dam in a paddle boat but ends up ok after.
- Overall a very scary film and is possibly the scariest animated Scooby-Doo film. However, the monsters are all costumes, so it is not as dark as Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island.
