Sex & Nudity

  • Characters of both genders are depicted in revealing clothing: women with exposed midriff, men wearing speedos, etc.
  • A few mild innuendo (perhaps intentional), but nothing kids will get.

Violence & Gore

  • Due to the very concept of Pokemon (battles and such), there is some violence, but it's barely even worth mention. The most that ever happens is that a Pokemon's in-game sprite will contort a little, or a Pokemon will faint.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Also, to some, the music in N's bedroom in Plasma Castle may be disturbing, but this is minor.
  • The story in this game is pretty deep, and some kids may have trouble grasping it. It revolves around the idea that perhaps the relationship between people and Pokemon (capturing, training, battling against other Pokemon) is wrong. It seems to drop this idea by the end of the main story arc, but until then, it constantly tries to tell you that capturing and battling with Pokemon (something the player does throughout the entire game) is wrong.
