One of a series of second feature films based on Edgar Wallace novels, released between 1960 and 1965 in British cinemas. The films were later sold to American TV and screened there as The Edgar Wallace Mystery Theatre (1959).
Kenneth Cope, (Derek Maitland), and Barbara Windsor, (Babs Newton), share a scene in this film, they also appeared together ten years later in Carry On Matron (1972).

Coincidentally note : many cast of Death Trap (1962), had also attended earlier same Saving the Rose Theatre (1989) day in historic support via other productions, prior to Christopher Reeve night anecdotes/speech upon Deathtrap (1982) adapting to film screenplays. This being the preceeding best known to public.
