Dead Frequency was first screened India soon after its completion having received Official Selection at the Stepping Stone Film Festival in the fall of 2010. It was then taken on by and received A further theatrical screening in the North East of England at Cineworld in 2011. Since then it has been screened at intervals by Viva TV (Europe). In September 2012 it was further screened in London after receiving Official Selection at the Portobello Film Festival. Dead Frequency was first seen on video-on-demand in the USA before being taken onto the USA's Amazon Prime in Spring 2015. It is also on release in many countries (including it's native UK) on Google Play, but as with all the Solarus films it's main following has been in the USA.
"Dead Frequency" features in a two page spread in the 2015 book "Forget Carter: Newcastle on Film & TV". Written by media historian (and former producer of "The Tube") Chris Phipps, the book tells the story of all the major films and TV productions made in Newcastle Upon Tyne and takes the reader on a tour that includes "Get Carter", "Byker Grove"; "The Tube"; "Our Friends in the North"; "Auf Wiedersehen Pet" and many others.
