- When Magnum balks at notorious crime boss Osi Shima's request to find his missing son, Magnum learns he's been poisoned and has only eight hours to locate Shima's son to earn the antidote, or else he dies.
- Thomas is surprised when at a sushi bar owner is not his client, but acts as front for the Yakuza, with recently released giant henchman Tower frisking him before an audience with elusive crime lord Osi Shima, who gives magnum eight hours to find his kidnapped son and future heir Kato, to earn the antidote for a fatal poison served in the sushi. Contact with police or Higgins is forbidden, instead he gets escorted by Tower and Shima's Vietnamese female bodyguard Min, who turns out an undercover cop. Rick, Higgins and T.C. force the sushi man to point them to the poison supplier, who says Shima doesn't have the antidote either, but knows the right lab and temporary fix medication. Magnum rapidly finds Kato's trail and a link to the rival Korean mob, with whom Shima has a truce threatened since a drugs delivery went missing, but works out the real dark ploys and chooses to keep risking his life just to prevent collateral damage.—KGF Vissers
